Agreed. The Bible contains far more offensive material than most books I know. However, I am of the belief that people should have access to any piece of literature. It is the parents responsibility to monitor what their children are doing and also to lay down expectations.

i dont see why not.
its easier to see that kind of stuff on the internet then it is in a bookstore or library.
Once a child reaches the age of 11 or 12 i think its good for them if they learn about the horrors of slavery and the holocaust through biographies or historical fiction. They were some of my favourite things to read as a child. It will teach them tolerance, respect and to count their blessing. Most kids today have seen worse anyways.

Do you realize that the Bible is composed of some SIXTY-SIX (66) books?
Are you implying that the Bible supports atrocities against our fellow human beings? Then you HAVE really missed the main point: DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU.

Indeed, there is significantly MORE violence and smut in the Bible than in ANY other publication available today. Most people have never read the entire book, and have NO idea what it REALLY says!

For starters, what "youth" is in the book store rather than skating or whatever?
Secondly, If the bible gets pulled, then please pull all books related to evolution as that's a scientific religion, and please pull the Koran, the Book of Mormon, and any books related to human sexual development, as the pagans use sex in their religions. I could go on, but I think I made my point.

Define "offensive". What's sauce for the goose isn't always sauce for the gander, ya know.
