How many more young lives are going to be destroyed eventually. By comparison, the Lord of the Rings had better morals for young minds to imbibe.

Harry Potter has become far more sinister and darker as those warning against it expected.

Avraham Ravitz of the United Torah Judaism Party, has also slammed Potter-mania in Israel: "We don't have to get carried away like monkeys and imitate the world in this kind of subculture.

Who wants to behave like a magic imitation monkey ?

"your kids are not going to grow up to be a sorcerer"
You sure about that ? Where do yo uthink the rapid increase in Wicca is coming from or being fuelled by teens and young kids ? Wake up and smell the stink.

"Kids know its not real". Sure ? I was comparing Lord of the Rings with the direct sell of Harry Potter to young minds. Apparently it requires some amount of maturity to see the difference.

Its no wonder so many so-called Christians are so confused. in the classic fairy tales, the heroes and heroines are good. In harry Potter they have a dark side that is encouraged. If these so-called Christians were mature, they could tell the difference.

Paranoia about stories of Harry Potter? Illusory magic from God ? (Sorry God does real miracles according to Christians and he is all good, not a game player as Hindus believe) The game player is the demon who pretends to be good and seduces you with magic to do evil instead. Harry Potter progresses to this level eventually taking the kids with him.

They know not what they do. The Lord said, "My people perish for the lack of knowledge." So called Christians do not believe the Word of God. They are Christians in name only and reject God's word. Divination, sorcery, magic and witchcraft are sin and evil in God's Word, the Holy Bible. Christians are so confused that they believe God couldn't be talking about those innocent little Harry Potter books. As we see our children depressed, suicidal, anxious, full of fear and autoimmune diseases and there is no cure but harsh, horrible drugs maybe we will wake up. Deliverance Ministry is for casting out evil spirits and demonic spirits. People open doors to these evil spirits and invite them in by reading occultic material such as Harry Potter. Witchcraft, Wicca and witches have increased since the onslaught of Harry Potter. Evil comes slowly - Bewitched, I Dream of Genie, etc. Satan so deceitfully introduces his evil spirits and we innocently open up to them and allow the spirits to influence us.

When you see your child suffering from an unusual disease or disorder, call a Deliverance Ministry to cast out these evil spirits that you have so carelessly let in.

Believe God's Word. Being under the power of a demon affects the physical body as well as the mind of a person. Cancer and arthritis are common ways to affect the physical body and depression, anxiety, fear, etc. are the mental illnesses.

If you call yourself Christian, then believe God's Word.

If we do not have advancement in the science of God consciousness then we may feel paranoia about stories like Harry Potter.

We need to realize that God is the original source of all magic powers and imaginations. This magic concept is a potential distraction on the path of God consciousness. Those who are very devout do not take any chances. However, some have argued that it is better to read and study Harry Potter than certain other types of stories.

Read Hosea 13:16, Malachi 2:3, and Ezekiel 23:19-21. That stuff is much worse than any Harry Potter.

Sorry, but as a Christian to a Christian (I suppose) you need to grow up. Should every book with "magic" be burned? If you're so concerned about children believing this stuff maybe you should be concerned that the kids aren't getting advice from their parents. Parents can easily tell them this is just a story. How hard is that?
I guess kids shouldn't watch Cinderella or any other Disney cartoon that has "magic."

FIRST OF ALL: How would you make claims about Harry Potter since you don't read it? You don't know anything about Harry Potter. Harry Potter fights against an evil man named Voldermort. Did you know that?

MOCK: CALLING ALL CHRISTIANS: Let's all burn everything that Satan can tempt us against! Let's burn TVs, Computers, Stores that are open on Sundays, Bars, liquor- stores, even cigarettes! Wait, there's more he can tempt us with! Let's burn ourselves!!

Yeah, I expect that every kid that reads the books will immediately be enticed to go for training at Hogwarts.

That's why I didn't want my kids to watch Sleeping Beauty...because it glorified magic.
Oh, wait. I bought the movie for my grandkids...
I guess it's too late then. They've already been introduced to magic.

OH, WOE IS ME.....ALL IS LOST!!!!!!!!

Does anyone else remember when we got the horrible warning from the Religious powers-that-be...children were to be kept from watching the Smurfs, because, as everyone knew, there were DEMONS in that cartoon?
Or when ADULTS, believe it or not, drove way out of their way to avoid passing near a theatre that was playing 'The Exorcist'? I guess they were afraid the demon would jump out of the screen and get them.....

This nonsense reminds me of those sorts of things. In a few years, when all the excitement dies down, your face...and the Jewish guy's face, too, will be a mite red, I think.
Unless the magical imitation monkeys get you first....

I've read all the Harry Potter books and seen all the movies. There is nothing evil about them. They are a delight. It's all fantasy and is totally portrayed as such. Evil lives in the hearts and minds of men and if they didn't keep insisting on seeing Satan everywhere, this would be a much better world.

I am a Christian, and your theory is full of baloney.
Look at The Wizard of Oz. Snow White, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood......There are witches in fairy tales. Look at movies kids see.
This is no different. Kids KNOW it is not real.

Chill, dude.

I think you're reading way too much into a piece of fiction. The world is not really that scary and evil of a place. Is it possible that people create chaos with there own paranoia?

Can't you teach your children the difference between fact and fiction? Or are you one of those who thought the daVinci Code was fact and was scared of it? FICTION!!! If we didn't let our children read anything that was "dark and sinister" we would never let them read Cinderella, or Sleeping Beauty, or Beauty and the Beast, or Hansel and Grettle, or Little Red Riding Hood. All of these are cruel and teach that beauty is something to be jealous of. But just like Harry Potter, they are FICTION!!!

The bible has rape, incest, murder, Mass Murder, slavery and a host of vile offenses too numerous to mention how long should this book be allowed to see the light of day? (Hmm that's a good question, think I'll ask it.)
