Take an oatmeal bath. You can buy Aveeno (or store brand equivalent) or pour some oatmeal in a sock, tie off and float in your bathtub. Do not pour down the drain or it will clog the drain. It will soothe the burn and soften your skin which will help with any peeling.
or:
Pour 1/2 cup cider vinegar in your bath. After your bath, mix cider vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray on your skin. When it dries, you will not smell like vinegar and will soothe the burn.
or:
Add 1/2 cup baking soda to your bath and soak in it.
Taking Tylenol will also help with the pain and reduce redness and inflammation. It should be taken within 24 hours of getting burnt to be effective.
Aloe vera will also help.
Alway use a sunscreen with at least an spf 15 before going out into the sun to prevent sunburn.
Hope this helps.

I would definitely suggest to you Aloe Vera gel. For next time (if you didn't already) put on sun tan lotion. Some people think that it doesn't allow you to get a tan but that's only sun block. Sun tan lotion prevents burns but allows tanning. If you are already doing this then that's great and keep doing it. Also try to stay out of the sun as much as possible for a day or two. But still go outside.

Go to a drugstore, WalMart or Dollar Store and get a jar of original Noxzema cream. I used to go out in the sun and I'd burn badly. I learned to use Noxzema liberally on sunburns, it really helps a lot!
Good luck!

Soak your sunburn in vinegar. It will take the heat out of the burn. Just stand in the shower and dump it on your burn. Let me tell ya it will be cold! You can get the vinegar at any grocery store for under a $1.00.
