I would be happy you get entertain the thought of being with someone else without having to risk losing your g/f
also, it is completely subconscience so it's not like you are doing anything to make it happen, you can't be blamed!

There are many possible answers to this question, but the most likely reason is because your relationships with your former crush's are just that.....a dream, or more accurately, part of the past that may not have been fully explored or realized. To that end, your brain may be trying to seek closure on that part of your life as you transition from who you were when you had the crushes and who you are with your girlfriend. Your girlfriend is reality, whereas crushes usually aren't. Your brain is maybe playing a "what if" scenario, just as a way to cope with the transition you've been making.

It doesn't mean that you love your girlfriend less, or that you should be with any of the other girls. It just means that you're closing the door on the past. I wouldn't worry about it any. They'll lessen over time and I'm sure you'll have some very nice ones about your girlfriend soon.

Not so unusual. Dreams are a way for your brain to go over and store pertinent data. While you sleep is the best time to do this because what you dream about is not a learning curve.

Don't let dreams rule your life, they are just that dreams, over analyzing you may miss the whole meaning. Maybe your mind is showing you why you like this girl more than the other crushes as you call them. Only you are so upset and probably feel so guilty, (like you cheated on her) that you miss the message in the dream.

My husband used to have dreams about his past gf and he would discuss them with me, it never upset me, most of the time they were linked to a real situation that presented itself with one of his past gfs and usually at the end of the dream it was me somone was hiding and not wanting him to see.

To help you understand your dreams better if you are awakened shakened by a dream is to write it down immediately, yes even if it is in the middle of the night, record the sights, sounds, emotions you felt, what was going on, then go back to sleep, you probably will not go back to that dream.

Maybe your girl friend has some traits that remind you of the girls you dated in the past.
