The one that is made from natural reeds and other organic items will be destroyed by rain and snow. There is another made from plastic that looks the same but is immune to that kind of natural degradation.
You can get a season or so from the natural one but the plastic is good for years (and looks the same)

"Wicker" patio furniture is a special material designed for outdoor use. You could not use real wicker outdoors. The outdoor line used to be sold only in upscale stores but I'm seeing it now in lower prices and in many stores. It's just as durable as any other outdoor furniture.

Wicker furniture is extemely durable. However, I would not leave mine outside during rain/snow. It will not do it any good.
