This question has been asked a hundred times. This is not funny anymore ! The answer is the same.

1. If you want to do it go ahead

2. You live in stone ages. They do not sterilize needles anymore. All needles come in sterile packets.

3. Thirdly, you do not have to lose you sleep over it. There are hardly any lethal injections performed anymore.

Needles are sterilized not only for the safety of the person being injected, but also in the event that the person administering the injection accidentally gets pricked.

Beats me. That's one area they would save a few dollars to put else where. If they are killing the person by lethal injection, then what does it matter if the needle is sterelized ot begin with, they have to use a new needle anyway.

I think it is so they die from the lethal injection not from anything else otherwise it could be seen as the doctor or whoever wanting to inflict damage/harm to someone or something like that. It is very tight the way the law works and the rule are formed but it is understandable if you think about it.... :D

Other than because sterlization is a built-in systematic procedure, not sterilizing a needle in such a case can trigger unpredictable disease and other biological manifestations that can complicate the primary purpose of the injection.

Needles are manufactured ,sterilised and packed for use in hospitals, clinics, doctors surgeries and other medical establishments. At the time of manufacture it is not possible to know the place or circumstances of usage. The needles used for fatal injections would have been purchased from a supplier already sterilised as described previously. They would not have been sterilised specifically for use on the person being executed.

What's with the posts of questions that have been asked every week? Once again, they use the needles they have, and those come from the prison infirmary, which buys them, pre-sterilized, in bulk, from the medical supply people. It would take a special order, and a lot of expense, to order and store unsterile IV catheters.

So that the condemned person does not die of some disease or other which may be on the unclean needle.

Wipe needle with IPA. Suck deadly death killer fluid into syringe, plunge needle into condemned persons arm or thigh, pump, dead, etc.

Death by the deadly needle method usually takes from 20 minutes to three hours depending on strength of killer fluid and type.
