Help....I somehow managed to highlight the icons on the desktop...i.e they are bold now?

one of them is limewire and I can't open it for some reason, (normally double click)...how do I take the highlight off please?

It sounds like you have clicked on all of them at the same time.

Right click on your desktop and select Arrange Icons by and click Refresh.
