Who think the media is the poison to the human soul.?

All they do is lies, degrade especially women and minority. It looks like the world is worshiping the media. No wonder there a lot people with low self steam. I think we should put together to bring positive image in to the media. Who is with me on that plan?

Well quit watching T.V and getting on the internet then! If you don't like it quit paying attention to it. I for one love the media.

No one is forcing the media on you. Let people like me enjoy it.

I agree. However a lot of women volunteer to degrade themselves these days. All I see is report after report of how women and minorities are the eternal victim of the ever-guilty anglo-saxon-male.

I don't agree with controlling the media, this would be forcing our opinions on others. However, we need to remove restrictions, presently our system encourages one kind of media.

If someone encourages sleaze by saying that its "freedom" or removing "boundries" or "natural" and people are "uptight", they get all the media time in the world. If someone opposes the constant stream of sewerage, they get no time at all, they are told to shut-up and mocked as being old fashioned. Few stick up for these people.

Change the channel, subscribe to podcasts that lift you up, let the marketplace of ideas do its work.

If you don't like what your seeing, you can produce something of your own. But chances are, you'll find that what you'll turn to is the descriptions things that touch the human heart, and there's a lot of suffering out there.

And some of that is people who have low "self steam"

(By the way, maybe you should read a newspaper occasionally so that you learn how to spell these concepts you keep hearing from the broadcast media.)

The media is all part of God's grace and mercy! If it were not for the media, we would have to suffer a more physical punishment. But through God's wisdom and mercy, we only witness these things, instead of living them. I for one am glad I can watch a movie, or a clip, which is not real, and see what could have happened to me.

I don't know about "the" poison but it is most definitely a source the the enemy of our souls uses to desensitize us to truth. I for one do not watch, listen or look at any media as I like to get my info direct from the true source-God. Does God speak to us? Yes, absolutely. His Word says that he does nothing without first revealing it to his servants,the prophets. So many voices crying for our attention!
God, I pray you would give ears to the Church that we might know what you are up to.

Degrading women? Yeah, i think religion in general has that covered just fine all on its own. Rather than try to convert the media to saying what you feel they should, why not try thinking for yourself and coming to your own conclusions? They will tell you exactly what they want to and nothing more, there's nothing or little you can do about that.

The media promotes pain, suffering and fear...and there is a reason they do this...the powers that own the media want the population paralyzed and easy to control...each one of us has to refuse to give in to the fear and to stop listening to the media...

I see where you're coming from, but if it wasn't the media it would be something else... People need to learn to think for themselves and definitely need to stop putting the blame on media, tv, movies, blah blah blah... Take some responsibility for their own actions and decisions
