The concept of the bases for religion most certainly deserves much more respect than we as humans can offer it.None of us have the ability to walk upon Holy ground nor are even worthy enough to speak to the Lord.This world is full of corruption and I believe everyone has their price.We dig a deeper hole everyday in this world soon it will be a straight highway to hell,if we don't turn things around and start caring for one another ,the sanctity of the church and,respecting the earth as we should.Our days are numbered and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see this,just look around each day as it unfolds before us.

I don't think religion deserves any respect because religion is devisive. It give false hopes and so much violence has been done in the name of religion. And remember, "Religion ruled the Dark Ages"

I think it does deserve respect, that's because when a person devotes his or her live to god,any god they become attach to that god, That god is there all. Its like if you was walking with your girlfriend or boyfriend down a street you wont let any one respect them you will get offended and would want to defend him or her. I think everything in this world deserves respect, if you don't have respect for any thing that means you have no respect for your self.

Religion by itself may or may not deserve any respect depending upon people,place and time.However,as we respect the views,choices,convictions,beliefs and life styles of our fellow beings,it behooves on us to respect their religious faiths as well.By the way,there should not be any compelling reasons to disrespect a religion,even if we do not subscribe to it. Historically,religion has played a vital role[good,bad or indifferent] in the evolution of mankind,societies,nations and continues it's sway in almost all fields of human activities,from economics to foreign affairs.Therefore,it's academic importance can not be ignored in worldly affairs of societies and nations.

religion seperates us- I don't respect a religion but I respect those who believe in a certain religion. I am presbyterian and I have learned a little about religions and don't approve of many of them, their way of thinking.
If we all could view one another as spiritual beings- rather than label with Catholic, jewish, buddism, baptist, the world would be much nicer to one another.
I have tried going to a church, you stand, sit, stand, sit and then a basket comes across your chin, the wonderful money basket- so basically as I see it, you stand and sit in a room filled with people, and have to pay for it?
I don't believe in this, and I don't believe you can commit sin and be forgiving just because you went to confession- don't commit the sin to begin with-
So I do not respect religion, it causes friction, seperation, anger, hatred- But if a person is a religion, you just respect their belief, as they only taught differently than we were and it is not their choice,but how they were brought up, how their parents chose to raise them to believe.
As a Christian who believes in the bible, I think religion is commercial- it poses confusion, judgement and critisizm towards one another.

WELL, any organized group that focuses on the GOOD in/of and to all living things and earth, deserves respect - - WHY?? Because THEY are doing exactly what humans are supposed to do - - and that ain't easy my friend!!!

Hell yeah. Do u realize how many religious ppl I'VE offended??? They thought I was a rebel!!! They ignored me and called me names, and it lowered my self esteem for YEARS. I just ignore them and keep on walking. I'll just respect their beliefs. Doesn't mean i'm gonna make friends will them.
