I have downloaded Quick Time on my computer but don't know if I ever use it or if I even need it.

Quick Time is used to play music and browse music online, you can also search for other stuff, i dont really use it but it's kind of like itunes.

Quick Time is the Macintosh media. It is use most for viewing .mov files.

its media player to watch video clips from the makers of Apple...window media player (from microsoft) which is also same thing to view videos. i like quick time and now they have newer version where the screen is bigger! yes!

its a media player used to play .mp4 formats only and works with itunes

you might use it if you download quicktime films , as they are not compatible with the windows media player
