Basically, I'm trying to make a concentrated source of caffeine without having to buy caffeine pills. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the caffeine out of coffee at home? Thanks.

Dark roasted coffee has more freee caffeine than cinamon-roasts and other, lighter colored beans.

Also, some markets sell a caffeinated drinking water called "water joe". Buy this water and run it through your coffee maker. Its like doubling your caffeine load.

Not for heart patients or people with sleep issues.
Don't drink it after 4 PM

well espresso ( not eXpresso, which i hate to see) is a good way to get a lot of caffeine from a small serving. the only way to make it is with an espresso machine.
i like the toddy coffee brew system. this is a cold brew process in which you brew one pound of coffee with 9 cups of cold water. (that is just over a quart.) this espresso strength brew doesn't have the acidity of traditional hot brewed coffee and you can keep it in the fridge for a couple of weeks. mix it with milk, ice and vanilla syrup like my husband, dilute it with water and ice for an iced americana like i do myself. you can drink it straight like espresso, or even add it to hot water for regular old coffee.

One OUNCE of espresso has the same amount of caffeine as one eight ounce CUP of coffee (if my memory serves me correctly). And, for the record, black tea comes in third place regarding caffeine content, then decaf coffee and then herbal tea (which has no caffeine). {Five cups of decaf coffee has the same amount of caffeine as one cup of fully loaded coffee}
