I bought a small UniFlame brand charcoal bbq grill at WalMart last year. It cost less than thirty dollars and it's been great. I bought the round model No. NPC1605-4SS. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It came unassembled and all of the parts fit together properly.

I have no complaints about mine.

I bought the Uni flame Premium Hybrid Portable Gas Grill for $25 and the only problem i had was that i had to use bolts instead of the pins in the legs that fold the legs up. I use it almost every night.I also drilled a hole above the handle and stuck a candy thermometer in it so i can regulate the heat better. I bought an adapter hose so i could hook up a 20LB tank to it. Also the grate is kinda close to the burner so you'll have be careful not to burn the food. a lot of flare ups with fatty foods. I use the warming rack to cook my ribs slower on low. I also use wet hickory chips wrapped in foil with holes poked in it to add that smokey flavor. I place the foil pack right on the burner.

My husband bought a portable one to use for when he is traveling at work. Most hotels think that it is a blast when they see a guest on his balcony cooking his own dinner. If you are not using often, then this should be ok, but the more often that you grill, you should invest in a larger more sturdy grill. Good Luck......

absolutely, we got one to use for when we don't wanna fire up "THA BIG GRILL" (when it just a few of us eating) and it works just fine. it's all about the griller and not the grill despite all the grill envy that many men suffer from. and if you use charcoal (we do) ya wanna find a good one. we run over to the mexican store to pick ours up cause they have this 100% vegetal stuff that works GREAT. it looks like pieces of coal wood stuff but it's the cleanest tasting BBQ i've ever had when we use it. much better than briquettes. :D

We've been cooking three years on a $5 cheapo we got on clearance at the grocery store. It's not so much the grill, but the type of charcoal you use. We found a Kingsford "char-wood" that is wonderful! We also use wood chips like hickory, pecan, apple, and my favorite - peach! The combinations are endless!!

If it's those small bowls that hold charcoal they are fine.

I'd be weary of a $25 gas grill

They do the job, but they're pretty much only good for like 1 summer or a few months. They're not very durable and rust easily.

It's not the grill it's the cook. Even if you had a 3000.00 stove it wouldn't matter if you don't know how to cook on it.
