I'm thinking this will help end the problem, as they will leave on their own once this "magnet" ceases to exist. Worksite enforcement is far easier and cheaper than mass deportation. What do you think?

This has been a very good discussion. Let us not cheapen it with "race cards". I am not singling out any group of people, just wanting to address the issue at large.

Cracking down on employers is just one aspect. It would definitely help. The real key is to get OUR Government to act in concert with the law. They must stop enacting policies and procedures that effectively neuter the laws on the books and make them next to impossible to enforce.

Plyler v Doe is a prime example of a look the other way policy mandated by an out of control Supreme Court enacting their own legislation from the bench. Despite the fact that NO WHERE in the Constitution does it guarantee the right to a publically paid for education to anyone, the self appointed Gods edicted that the Constitution guarantees a public education to illegal aliens and then forbade the school districts from reporting them to proper authorities.

Border Patrol non pursuit policies. Here is a recent revelation. Apparently, the very people that are charged with protecting our borders and keeping the illegals out are , by internal policy, prevented from actually pursuing an illegal alien.

Sanctuary Cities, Self proclaimed safe havens for illegal aliens. The fact is that the illegals, by sheer numbers, take over the city and then declare themselves sanctuary in direct defiance of US law. Recent legislation sought to cut off federal funding to sanctuary cities and our liberal elite politicians defeated it. In other words, The US pays cities to defy immigration law.

Anchor babies. The US continues to hand out citizenship like it was some sort of cheap prize out of a cereal box. The 14th amendment specifically denies birthright citizenship. Even the most cursory examination of the statements made by the authors will tell you that.

In short, to remove the magnet all we have to do is start enforcing the laws that are on the books, start enacting policies and procedures that are in concert with the law, and to STOP perverting the Constitution by interpreting it to mean whatever suits your political agenda.

As long as the Federal Government makes it relatively easy to make this determination as many illegals have fake socials, etc. as this could end up being a logistical nightmare for employers, especially small businesses. It is not employers duty to enforce federal laws, however, they already have to W2 us or have penalties so makes sense this could not be any more burdensome.

...and any and all benefits such as Wicca, Welfare, Medicaid should definitely be able to determine a person's eligibility due to citizenship.

...In Georgia illegals can no longer even be hospitalized. They can seek ER treatment only....and when the Mexicans have to go somewhere else for free medical care, maybe they will be forced to migrate back! Sounds mean I know, but our country going down a fatal course like "Rome" did....

....and everyone will be desperate and migrating....to survive

Yes, that will be a great start. However, I heard on the news the other day that the government is hiring them as well. Thousands of them. They claim unknowingly. Right. They are in construction, and working on government site, some top secret. They are even helping to build the wall. I saw this report on CNN. Amazing.

Definately. They say they will still be here, but if they were not getting hired, the only ones that could stay here are drug dealers or people who straggle by getting paid under the table. That is only a small part of the illegals, and the larger part of them would be gone if the businesses were taught a lesson.

Definitely!! Of course illegal immigrants want to come here- they know that they can get hired by someone and most likely not get caught, why wouldn't they come here to work and make more money than they can even dream of in their country?! As soon as companies, employers, etc. stop hiring them (due to serious repercussions) they will stop coming. Truly it is common sense. Build a wall? That is like putting a coat of paint on a rusty car.

Yes, it will. There are already illegals leaving Az. because of the new law and it doesn't even kick in until January. If we did this nationwide, a majority of them would go home.

Yes, it will... If you take away the demand the supply will lower to at least a number that we can handle, everyone needs to remember that the employer is also breaking the law by hiring illegal labor...
