First thing you need to do. Hire a criminal lawyer, doesn't matter at this point..Did you enter a guilty plea?..never ever enter any kind of plea without the presence of an attorney. Refusing the blood test? that is your right under the law. the Miranda Warnings are there for a reason.
Don't know what state you are in..Most patrol cars are supposed to be equipped with a camera that not only has night vision, but also audio..my suggestion..you better get a criminal lawyer..if you are in Texas?..I would suggest John Stacy Young..very good..as for the DA?..He is not on your side..he is on the side of the state, in this case..the officers...so, you really should talk to a criminal lawyer..could help you more if I knew what state you were in...
Some advice?..Drinking and driving, are what gets people killed..If I were in your position, I might try going the road of going to a rehab. facility to show the judge you aren't as imcompentant as this sounds?..Just some advice..Do call a criminal lawyer..That charge is a felony charge, and involves an officer..whose side do you think they are on?..Not yours!

Seek the advice of an attorney. If you have already entered a plea of guilty that pretty much sums it up and there is no excuse now. You should never plead guilty even if you're guilty.
You just saved a bunch of tax payers allot of money by pleading guilty to the charge.
An attorney hired right now in your case will make it hard for him or her because you entered a plea already without consulting the advice of an attorney.
Public defenders are like a row of cupcakes waiting to be paid by the court for doing what the court wants them to do.
Basically, when the State pays a public defender just a little so called love money...they will not put their complete effort into your case if not necessary to do so they will prime you out quickly and throw you to the Lions.
Now if you are charged with assaulting an actor with your camera...the media will eat that up and the public defender will do his job to the fullest because he's getting paid and getting exposure for his work at the same time and so you can expect his best performance.
In other scenarios....public defenders will ruin your life if you let them juggle your case to the clowns.
You do not have to agree with them or what ever they are asking of the Judge.
Know your laws and rights always and never, ever enter a plea of guilty without consulting an attorney ...Capiche!!

you're no longer being represented via the DA. The DA represents the *State*, no longer a sufferer. Your criminal status in this count number is that of complaining witness. you are able to no longer get a Public Defender, considering which you're no longer charged with against the regulation. The DA is decrease than NO criminal duty to take heed to you. as quickly as against the regulation has been alleged, all judgements approximately prosecution lie with the DA. The sufferer has NO criminal say interior the problem in any respect. Richard

The prosecutor is definitely NOT your friend, it is his job to put you behind bars, or see to it that you get the maximum sentence. The pulic defender is has so many cases that you better no expect too much help from him. I would recommend you get your own lawyer who can represent your interests in the right way., not just go through the motions of doing so.

There is a place where they have meetings and it is called Alcoholics Anonymous. There are members who have experienced what you are going through. They will be happy to help you for free. Some of the members may be lawyers. Go to a meeting you will probably get out of this if you do.

Sounds like you have a problem with any authority figures, or you're too high most of the time to realize what is going on around you.

You will know from the acts of the public defender if he is on your side and be careful because the other party might bribe him.
