the anti-CHRIST has been around for a long time, all those who deny TEH FATHER AND THE SON are the spirit of the anti-CHRIST . .. What J.K. Rowling is doing is being a servant of this world which is ruled by the devil, for teh sake of mammon. The scoceries of paganism and their servitude to sin and mammon are all foretold and they must be repented. But then do you expect a billionaire who has polluted the minds of millions of little children who could have been devout servants CHRIST going to repent? . ..
The justification without faith is to say it is just fiction. But fiction is a lie, which today is prefered over THE TRUTH. They'd rather enjoy the pleasures of this world for a little while in wealth and pleasures, but do not forsee the consequences which are to come . ..
Let's turn this around for a moment would they allow a series of books about JESUS to be commonly distributed to get children intrested and reading TRUTH? . .. they would kick up a fit against it with the aclu suing everyone from children to the Pope.
We need to ask ourselves why TRUTH which is JESUS CHRIST is controversial, and lies of the devil are not.
LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

No, Jeff - i do no longer no longer. i do no longer have confidence that "J.ok Rowling has unveiled the Antichrisht on your youth along with her bible thick books" nor do I even have confidence there is an "Antichrisht." are not "Godly" numbers, "demonic powers", potions, the embracement of supernatural powers, death and resurrection all component of the bible too? Or is it in simple terms the visual charm of those factors outdoors of the bible that makes up the muse of what you incredibly merchandise to? as much as now as "homosexuality, and shortage of morals" bypass - i ask your self why "chrishtians" think of they have a monopoly on morality and tolerance - the fact is they do no longer. no be counted if it incredibly isn't any longer 'Catcher contained in the Rye" then it incredibly is "Harry Potter" - this continual quest to "freshen up" Literature in accordance to somebody else's standards is the epitome of taking something it incredibly is "splendidly inventive and exquisite and turning it into something jaded."

Uh, okay.
I read all six Harry Potter books months ago. I finished all of them within two weeks.
I also do read the Bible, I'm a Christian, and I see nothing wrong with Harry Potter. I used to be into witchcraft (for nearly six years). Harry Potter is FICTION, not demonic.

Don't be silly. Stop blaming other people for this so-called "problem" of Christian's not reading the Bible. Christianity isn't ONLY reading the bible. My answer is NO... J.K. Rowling hasn't unveiled the anti-christ....weirdo.

The books are about friendship, staying the course when trouble occurs, the advent of good over evil - all positive qualities.
I would rather take a book with those qualities more literally than a dusty 2000 year old book which promotes discrimination, murder and many other vile & heinous acts.

paranoia, a lack of understanding, and an overactive imagination can cause one to read all sorts of 'deeper meanings' and 'agendas' into just about anything, and even exaggerate and twist a simple bit of entertainment into something demonic...relax, take a deep breath...it's FICTION...not a how-to manual on witchcraft and demonology...the kids reading the books understand this...how have YOU failed to grasp this simple concept?

As long as everyone realizes it is fiction, what is the harm? We need our imaginations stimulated and we need to get the children to enjoy reading books and not just play computer games!

maybe most kristians see the work 4 what it is,purely a bit of harmless fiction, what right do you have to tell people what they should and should not read.I would have to conclude that yr faith is weak as i have read a couple of the books and it has not shaken my faith 1 iota!
