If you were constipated and passed very hard stools you could have opened a fissure in your anus. Try taking stool softener like mineral oil for a few days, and increase the fiber (cereal, fruits and vegetables) in your diet.
A hemorrhoid can be internal or external. A doctor needs to examine for more definitive treatment. For relief, try Sitz baths, sitting in very warm water. Use Tucks to wipe, and/or apply Vaseline Intensive Care (without other additives) to the anal opening.
Rectal or colon cancer usually does not present with gross bleeding from the anus, but it can occur. If the gross bleeding stops, you should still have your stool tested in a few weeks for occult blood. Is a colonoscopy in order? Talk to your doctor about this. There are several factors to consider.

Could be, or too often. Does it happen often? Try using wet wipes or washing. Does it itch and/or burn, then could be hemorrhoids.
