I try to, really I do. I wasn't raised Christian or in Christendom, so it's kinda new 2 me. I don't always remember, then I'll stop & say a blessing.
I was lookin' 4 sumthin' in 'Insight on the Scriptures Vol 1',
& came across what is proper so say, an example.
So, last nite @ dinner, I remembered what I had read, & said my prayer.
I always thank Him for all my blessings from Him;
including the food I receive.

I was brought up in a godly household where the main meal of the day was begun with a short prayer by the head of the family. It's a good thing to do but it no longer happens in my family. I'm afraid I don't even do it silently to myself. But virtually every day, whenever I get down on my knees and pray, I include thanks-giving for my food for the day, not presuming I will have plenty, but acknowledging to God that he is the provider, and that I depend on him for it, and everything else. Acting in accordance with my prayer, I am keen not to be wasteful or greedy, and I pray for those who are calling out to God in their distress for essential food and water. The scriptural principle is to have a prayerful attitude to everything in life. A habit of prayer means communing on and off, all the day long, with God.

No. It's praying at every moment that I've made a habit than just before meals.

Ofcourse, I do,
It is my habit and I pray regardless of where I am dining, either it is my home or in the restaurant or at my friends house I do hav the habit to pray.
Thanking God for the food and the health he has given me to eat this food and requesting God to provide food to those who are in need. Even the Lord's Prayer tells us to pray.
God bless.

Yes, I even give a prayer of thanksgiving when I'm just grabbing a snack.
1 Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

I try to. I may not pray out loud, but I do pray silently. I don't want to make a huge show of it in front of my non-Christian husband.

It is as natural a habit as breathing, Debbie.
So many in this world are malnourished and my wife and I realize and appreciate how God has blessed us.
We kneel at an altar in the morning in thankfulness, remember our concerns and needs; ask for guidance, and thank Him for His many blessings to us, His unworthy subjects.
Thank you for asking.

Honestly, I do, but not a 100% of the time, there are times, when there's a lot on my mind, that I start to eat before giving thanks. I ask Jah to forgive me for not giving him thanks first.

I begin every meal with the name of Allah (God)! All praise and glory is to Allah (God), Cherisher and Sustainer of all things.
