I've never seen my youngest cat barf. After the visit she was slightly calmer than normal, but we thought it was due to her being scared. Then later on in the evening she puked up EVERYTHING she'd eaten. (They looked like furball puke). Did the shots make her belly hurt? What's the deal?

Vaccinations are stressful on a cat, most of mine sleep all day after getting the shots. Some get physically sick to their stomachs -- for future vaccinations only schedule ONE to be done at a time, do the second a week later.

Offer water, but keep the food away for 24 hours. After that she should be ok and eating without the upset stomach. The shots shouldn't hurt, it's the reaction of the rest of the body to the shots you're seeing.

That's great that your cats are healthy and you take care of them. Since they do not go outside, you don't need to take them to the vet as much as you would an outdoor cat. But vet check ups are a necessity. Sometimes a cat could have something wrong with it that you will not be able to see until its too late. The cats do need shots... even if they are healthy. Since you have 2 cats diseases could spread more easily without shots. Good luck with your cats.

the shots shouldn't make her belly hurt. Vaccination reactions are rare these days.35 years ago we use to see vaccination reactions quite often, but the drug companies have perfected the vaccines over the years that it is almost nonheard of these days.Usually the trip to the vet and the car ride will cause the cat to be upset and anxious and therefore may cause your cat to have an upset stomach.

It's OK, remember those shots are strong, and this may be her body's reaction to it - make sure she drinks enough liquids, only worry if it does not stop after a day.
