That's just kids being kids. I have a 7 year old daughter, 2 nieces and 2 nephews. (All are between the ages of 4 and 7) There are a few things that really help, especially when they're all together:
1) When you talk to them, get down to their level, eye to eye. Make sure they are making eye contact with you.
2) Don't raise your voice. Speak in a calm, 'normal' tone. That way they HAVE to listen.
3) When you discipline, be consistent. Don't make 'threats' and not follow through. If you tell them you're going to do something (ex: take away their TV if they don't clean their room), do it. My daughter had her TV taken away for 6 months and her room has been spotless ever since!
If they're putting holes in your walls, its definitely time to take control.
I think every mom, at some point, contemplates putting their kid(s) up for sale lol Hang in there!

No. A lot of kids don't listen. You have to make sure that when you really want them to hear you that there is not a single distraction in the room. You also have to pick your time wisely. If their friends are waiting on the front porch to go play with them, you can forget it because they are thinking about how boring you are and how much fun they are about to have. If I need to talk to my children about something serious, I always try to do it first thing in the morning over breakfast or right before they go to bed. Now, if you are talking about them behaving, if they are running errands with you, then you have to stick to exactly what you say whether you decide to use a reward or punishment system. For instance, if you take them to the grocery store with you, before you get out of the car, you might say, if you are good and stay right by me, then I will let you get your favorite cereal when we are done or you might say, if you don't stay with me while we are in the store, your friend won't be coming over to play later today.

Children need to be given structure and discipline. Bouncing on the duvet should be immediately stopped, with a firm Do Not Do That--remove child, if he does it again another firm no, and a time out, third time a smart smack on the bottom.
Do not yell to be heard, lower your voice so they will tune in to it. If they do not respond the first time, say it again. If they do not respond then remove them from your presence (to their room, time out corner etc) until they decide it is better to pay attention.
Set a schedule, same time every day for bath, TV, colouring time, nap, bedtime. That way they have less free time to make mischief in.
Always keep in mind--you are the parent, you are in control. You do them no favours by allowing them to be undisciplined. Now is the when they learn how to behave throughout life.

LOL !! Makes you wish for children's chewable Valium doesn't it! The first 2 weeks of summer were great. My husband had them off so we went camping. Now we are home and the count down has begun here too. Add to that a heat wave and 2 kids who get heat stroke a the drop of at hat and it makes for a good time.

Well it sounds like they are running over you and you are allowing it. You need to get the upperhand in this matter. Set some strict guidelines and consequences for not following them. Stick with it; you can't even allow an ounce of giving in.
There are some good discipline methods to use. Check out the following article:http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/293990/common_methods_for_disciplining_your.html

I read somewhere the other day kids only listen to the first 13 seconds, the rest dwindles out into space. so unless you can get through to them in those precious few seconds forget it. I say grab a drink...relax....enjoy goodluck.

The reason most people mistake this for a real question is because we ALL know women with kids who behave like this.I do personally.

Are you a very new parent? You certainly sound overwhelmed by your own children? You must remember you are an adult & you must maintain a degree of order in your own household. They are children you're the adult!
