Moses and Jesus were playing golf. Jesus was 200 yards away and Moses told him to lay up, he will never clear the water. Jesus went for the green and hit it right in the water.

As he walked across the water to retrieve his ball, another golfer said to Moses, "Who does he think he is Jesus Christ?" "

Moses replied no he thinks he is Tiger Woods."

tiger is one of the greatest golfers right now, and his golfing skills are amazing, why wouldnt you want to follow him and see him in action. when i went to the buick invitational i followed him, not because i adore him as a god (hardly), but i adore his golfing skills. i wasnt sure how to answer this question. did you mean why do the media follow him or the fans? i answered from a fans perspective. when it comes to the media they will follow him because he generates more ratings and based on ratings in the past, people will only watch a tournament if he is playing, this was said by a sportscaster on the tiger woods dvd that was released while ago.

because fans embrace greatness...players who change the way the game is played (they made major courses longer just to keep tiger from making them obsolete, tiger is also the catalyst for the huge payoffs and large corporate sponsorship contracts that all pro golfers worldwide are now enjoying) and the way it is embraced by people of all ethnicity's and class levels on every continent come along once in a lifetime...thats why...do you think any of the other players could have done that?

Tiger has revolutionized the game of golf. He's the Michael Jordan of the golfing world. People have followed golfers on their rounds for as long as the game has been played. Tiger is an athlete and a star. Do I need to remind you how we, in America, tend to idolize our athletes, many of whom are hardly role models? He is only human, but one who draws attention and a bit of awe because of his exceptional abilities.
