Hi jack...
May be you are so angry about world's war...
Really i don't believe in alients at all..
Plus...If the man was not intelligent enough.,,therefore there wouldn't be any civilizations or any thing even war..
war includes bombs and so on...
sorry..But who creates the bombs or the wars' tools? aren't we?
So this has nothing to do with intellegence or to be smart but
To know how to work your power to the right thing not to the wrong or the destructive way.!!!!
You can get an example...What is the difference between a Good Guy and a bad Guy and both for example has the same intelligence?!
1) The way to think..
2) The way to direct the energy towards the thing you want..
3) Morals.........The most important factor before anything..
Another close example....My mum always says to me.."You girl if you have not been raisen up well and don't have morals...I knew that you will be an evil and very dangerous..Because you have an excellent brain and a powerful mind and it is working too much...Thanks god that you have parents!" Also my doctors are saying that to me and insisting on me everytime to put an aim to be a doctor in pharmacy..
Then did you got it...It has nothing to do with intelligence but with morals and how to control your energy towards the right thing...
BY THE WAY....Are you violent and possessive?
Concerning me yes but i am violent and possessive towards science..In other words,,I love to get all the information ( concerning science too ) stored in my mind and soluble well within my blood.

I would have to agree that there is other life within the universe, I am just not arrogant enough to think we are it. As for the rest-we might be just stuck in a far corner and not found yet or not worth the effort to contact; assuming they are so far advanced above us that they are capable of it. If the universe was created about the same time and the progress of life was the same pace the "other life" could be about as advanced as we are and not capable of contacting us since we are not capable of contacting them. Are we the dark force in the universe? I would not like to think so and humanity has known other things besides "war and being possessive"; we have art, music, and literature besides war. Being possesive is also an "lower animal" trait, it is called territorial; genetics and evolution say we evolved, since almost all carnivores and omnivores are territorial then it is part of our make-up, do we kill anything else that enters "our area"-No so we have changed/progressed somewhat and probably will continue too. One of the reasons for our progress is a push to be challenged/not content with where and how we are plus the desire to see over the horizon, these are hunter traits and without them where would we be? Humanity might be the scrouge that veryone is hiding from but I think any species that progresses would be somewhat aggresive and curious since exploring is dangerous even when running into less advanced animals, running into a grizzly bear with a spear or black powder rifle was not healthy for the "advanced" person and why should life on other planets be that different-Dangers will exist whether from an advanced society or from wild life so agressive/protective violence would probably be necessary.

You are making a lot of unwarranted assumptions here and taking for granted a lot that the opposition is not willing to grant.
For now, I will leave aside the question of what an "intelligent" world is and what its capabilities to affect us might be. This definition would also affect whether we ourselves would qualify as "intelligent." If you mean by an "intelligent planet" one that could detect intelligent life on on another distant planet AND influence it in some way, we would fail that particular standard of intelligence.
To the best of my - or your - knowledge, no external nondivine intelligence has interfered with us in any way. Implicit in your question is whether a supreme being exists, a question that is far from settled. (I believe in a supreme being, by the way.) This leaves open the possibility that we have been influenced without our knowledge, though I doubt it.
More likely, we have not yet come to the attention of any alien intelligence that may exist or, if we have, are of insufficient importance to take much note of. It is also possible that we have been noticed but are currently beyond the aliens' ability to contact or influence us, regardless of their intentions.
This brings up the question of what is "good" and "evil" and what standard should be applied in this context. It would be hard for us to argue, for example, that malaria parasites are essentially good. It would be easier to argue that their extinction would be good, but that would be no slam dunk either. Assuming that you could make such an argument, and that we are as "evil" as you (Jack) are implying, then an advocate in a court with an interstellar jurisdiction might well be able to argue that the extinction of humanity would be a good thing.
Let's take our disease metaphor a step further. Hardly anyone would argue that disease is wholly good or that antibiotics are bad. Yet we perform wholesale massacres of disease organisms in our hospitals every day under the name of antisepsis. From the point of view of intelligent disease organisms, we are violent and evil. Are we? Should we allow the unchecked spread of infectious disease because we must kill to stop it? I don't think so!

If Man knows nothing else but war, I'd be hard pressed to explain the contents of the Louvre, Disneyland, and why people flock to Australia to surf.
Man is not the only violent and possessive creature on the planet. Open your eyes.

I have sat and watched ants but never got down on the ground and tried to talk to them. Our war like nature plays a part but it's probably more about our lack of intelligence.

If there are intelligent worlds out there then they might be stuck in the same situation as us - intelligent but unable to find or contact any other life forms. Maybe they didn't pay their cable bill and their communications got shut off or perhaps they know we are here but all of our old t.v. shows which are floating through space turned them off or maybe they viewed the old Star Trek programs and got scared off. Maybe they are just plain unsociable and don't want to borrow a cup of sugar from us. Or perhaps they are sending their fleet of attack space ships to destroy us. Who knows and who cares - I don't (until they show up in the sky over my house) .

The simple fact that they aren't visiting us in droves proves there is intelligent life out there.
