I'm not a "traditional" bride by any means and I do not want to walk down the aisle to the wedding march like millions of other females have. I need some ideas for other songs that are popular for brides these days because I have no idea where to even start looking. I was thinking of maybe a symphony or a concerto but I need some help as to what websites to go to, names of songs to download, etc. And really I'm flexible on the classical stuff too so all ideas are welcome. Thanks a lot and I can't wait to listen to your suggestions!

From This Moment On by Shania Twain. The beginning of the song so meaningful ........

Lyrics :
(I do swear that I'll always be there. I'd give anything and everything and I will always care. Through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow, for better or worse, I will love you with every beat of my heart.)

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on

I walked down the aisle to Canon in D. Its a beautiful song and I'm sure you've heard it before. I didn't want the bridal march but I wanted something that was like that. Try to find it on the internet and listen to it! Good Luck!

I love italian films Cinema Paradiso, Il Postino
Any of these title songs, soooooo romantic
I couldn't use them myself because I get too emotional
Ennio Morricone and Luis Bacalov are amazing

I used the song from "Life is Beautiful" Belle nuit by Jacques Offenbach It means "beautiful night"

We were married at night overlooking the lake in Central Park (it's an opera song which is distracting) so I hired a harpist with no vocals. The harp is also a visually appealing instrument for the ceremony.

Whatever you pick make sure it's a part of you and your husband. I still get teary eyed thinking of my wedding.

Ciao

I would stay away from songs with words. You don't want it to end in a weird spot!

You can preview these on iTunes by searching for the composer:

These are all by Gustav Holst
First Suite in E flat.
Mars (kind of like Star Wars music)
Venus
A Somerset Rhapsody

These are by Antonio Vivaldi
Four Seasons - Spring
Four Seasons - Autumn
Concerto in D Major
Gloria (this does have words though!)

or an instrumental version of one of your favorite songs

THERE IS LOVE (Paul Stookey)

- Wedding Song -

He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts.
Rest assured this troubador is acting on His part.
The union of your spirits here has caused Him to remain,
for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name,
There is love. There is love.

Oh, a man shall leave his mother, and a woman leave her home.
They will travel on to where the two will be as one.
As it was in the beginning, is now until the end,
woman draws her life from man
and gives it back again and there is love.
Oh, there's love.

Well then what's to be the reason for becoming man and wife?
Is it love that brings you here or love that brings you life?
For is loving is the answer then who's the giving for?
Do you believe in something that you've never seen before?
Oh, there's love. There is love.

He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts.
Rest assured this troubador is acting on His part.
The union of your spirits here has caused Him to remain
for whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name
there is love. Oh, there is love.

i would say just pick a song you like that is not a shock rock or outrageous song to walk to.
something romantic if you want. maybe a musical version of a fave song, your "song" with spouse to be.
i wanted to walk to cannon in d. but we are probly going to have an outdoor wedding so i'll probly change it to something else.

You might try "Are You Lonesome Tonight". Since you do not want to be a traditional bride you might also want to get married in a teddy.
