At my reception I'm giving my parents and my older brother a poem in a pretty frame. I'm reading them during the toasts. I found wonderful poems for my brother and dad but I'm having a hard time finding one for my mom. I want it to be really special she's done so much for me. I found a nice one that added in the fact that she's also walking me down the isle but it's read as before the wedding starts. Does anyone have any ideas where I could find a poem for my mom?

Here's a nice one my daughter gave me on Mother's Day a long time ago. I still have it framed and hanging in the hallway.

In Your Footsteps Mother

Mother, my words of love to you are not for any special occasion, but because there is a very special bond between mother and child. I remember so long ago when I followed so closely behind you. You protected my every move, while hoding my hand and your love never failed me.

As I've grown from year to year, your hand opened to allow my reaching out and growth. You watched me arrive and achieve with so much pride and silent prayer. You also let me fail on my own, but were always there to pick me up while we shared the tears.

You know what to say and how to listen to help me through the rough times and to make the good times even more beautiful. I took it for granted that you'd be there when I needed you...and you always were.

As I grew older, I made many new friends but of all the kindness they have shown me, your understanding is still the deepest, your companionship the warmest, and your support the most generous.

Thank you, Mother, for all you have been to me--my first friend and my best friend.

My Walk With Mom

Today you go before me, Mom,
As I walk down the aisle.
I know you’re happy, yet there is
A tear mixed with your smile.

I close my eyes and travel back
To days when I was small,
When you would take much slower steps
So that I wouldn’t fall.

And ever since you’ve been there, too,
Through every trial and tear.
Your mother’s love has always made
My troubles disappear.

I’ve found a very special love,
And we will be apart.
But though I’m at another’s side,
I’ll never leave your heart.

That is a really touching idea! I'm sure there won't be a dry eye in the house.

I found a few links with some nice poems.
Good luck!
