Yes, and it was based on an actual case..although very rare, it does INDEED exsist

i do excellent book and movie came on the scene in in 76 aired on TV in 77 was produced by Daniel Petrie's sally field played the part of Sybil really well according to the documented case she had 16 different personalities and brought on by the torture she endured from her mother during her childhood. that's all i know from my psychology classes if you want to know more try the journal of American psychiatry association

BTW it's spelled Sybil - it recently became available on DVD. Sally Fields is amazing in that movie.

I don't remember. I remember it being on TV at least 25 years ago. I think she had Eight different personalities.

with Sally Fields and she had multiple personality disorder. Very good movie.
