The Qur'an, chapter 3 (Aale Imran), verse 61:
“But whoever disputes with you in this matter after what has come to you of knowledge, then say: Come let us call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and our near people and your near people, then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on the liars."

It's interesting how many people constantly tell me that I am following nothing but lies and a false religion... and yet when I quote this verse in the Qur'an those people will not stand united and pray for the curse of Allah (Almighty God) to be upon the ones who are actually following a lie. I know that what I follow is true! Alla praise and glory is to Allah (God)

I testify that there is no one worthy of worship besides Allah (God) and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was his final messenger to mankind. I also testify that Jesus (peace be upon him) was a noble Prophet of Allah (God). This verse was revealed to the Muslims as a solution to the argument between the Christians and the Jews... who were arguing endlessly with the Prophet Muhammad and those who believed. And it seems that only the Muslims have enough faith in the message which was sent to them to actually take this pledge up. All praise and Glory is to Allah!

We do follow what Jesus said, though much of what the Christians claim was actually fabricated. The Bible is horribly altered! Jesus told us to worship Allah (God) alone! He never said he was the son of Allah (God) nor a partner with Allah (God).
And Muslims are not allowed to lie, it's a sin.

Here is the reason this verse was revealed:This verse refers to the famous event of ' Mubahala '
And unto him who dispute with thee therein after the knowledge hath come unto thee, Say! ( O' Our Apostle Muhammad!) (Unto them) come ye, let us summon our sons, and (ye summon) your sons, and (we summon) our women and (ye) your women, and (we summon) ourselves and then let us invoke the curse of God on the liars!
Holy Quran
This verse refers to the famous event of ' Mubahala ' which took place in the year 10 A.H against the Christians of Najran. A deputation of 60 Christians of Najran headed by Abdul Masih their chief monk priest came and discussed with the Holy Prophet ( pbuh) the personality of Hazrat Isa (Jesus). The Holy Prophet told them not to deify Jesus for he was only a mortal created by God, and not God Himself. Then they asked who the father of Jesus was. By this, they thought that since he was born without a father the Holy Prophet ( pbuh&f ) would helplessly accept Jesus' father being God himself. In reply to this question was revealed the Verse.
Verily, similitude of Jesus with God is as the similitude of Adam; He created him out of dust then said He unto him BE, and he became.
When the Christians did not agree to this line of reasoning, then this verse was revealed enjoining upon the Prophet (pbuh) to call the Christians to Mubahala. To this the Christians agreed and they wanted to return to their place and would have the Mubahala the next day.
Early next morning the Holy Prophet ( pbuh) sent Salman al Faresi ( May Allah be well pleased with him ) to the open place, fixed outside the city for the historic event, to erect a small shelter for himself and those he intended to take along with him for the contest. On the opposite side appeared the Christian priests, while at the appointed hour the Christians witnessed the Holy Prophet (pbuh&f ) entering the field with Imam Hussain in his lap, Imam Hasan holding his finger, and walking beside him, Lady Fatima and followed by Imam Ali al Murtaza . The Prophet ( as ) on reaching the appointed spot stationed himself with his daughter, her two sons and her husband, raising his hands towards the heaven said: Lord these are the People of my House
The Chief Monk on knowing that the baby in the lap of the Prophet (pbuh) was his young grandson, Imam Hussain, the child walking holding the Prophet's (s) hand was his first grandson, Imam Hasan, the Lady behind him was daughter, his only surviving issue was Fatima the mother of the two children and the one who followed the Lady was his son in law, the husband of Fatima , addressed the huge crowd of the people who had gathered on the spot, and addressed them saying
By God, I see the faces which, if they pray to God for mountains to move from their places, the mountains will immediately move!
O believers in the Jesus of Nazareth, I will tell you the truth that should ye fail to enter into some agreement with Muhammad and if these souls whom Muhammad has brought with him, curse you, ye will be wiped out of existence to the last day of the life of the earth!
The people readily agreed to the advice counseled by their Leader. They beseeched the Holy Prophet ( pbuh&f ) to give up the idea of the agreed Mubahala and requested for themselves to be allowed to continue their faith, offering to pay ' Jizya '.
Al Tabari, Commentary of the Quran, v 2 p 192 -> 193
This historic event of a unique triumph of Islam is taken by the Shias as a religious thanksgiving festival of the triumph against falsehood.
More references from Sunni books:
Ghayatul Maryam, p 300
Sahih Muslim, v 4 p 1285 ( English Edition), the tradition is as follows:
...( The third occasion is this ) when the following verse was revealed : Let us summon our children and your children. Allah's messenger (pbuh) called Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussain and said : O Allah, these are my family ...
Edit:
In another Sunni commentary of Quran, it is narrated on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Umar that:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Had there been any soul on the whole earth better than Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan and al-Husain, Allah would have commanded me to take them along with me to Mubahala.
But as they were superior in dignity and respect to all human be beings, Allah confined His choice on them only for participation in Mubahala.
"
Sunni reference: Tafsir al-Baidhawi, under the commentary of Verse 3:61
Concluding, the event of Mubahala between the Prophet (PBUH) the Christians was significant in many aspects, among them is:
It proved to be a lesson for all the Christians of Arabia who no longer dared any confrontation with the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

I don't really know what's your question is after reading all you've written so far, but I have to second what u said about the bible - That it has been horribly altered. The Quran has been the same, word for word since DAY ONE - unaltered, unedited - THE SAME. And the best part is, my Christian friends are aware of this, YET, they are in "denial". I just don't get it too. I mean, God gave us all brains and logic to think but some ppl ppl choose to be ignorant even when the truth lies before them. And for that, I'm quite saddened. I feel that when others question my religion and when I answer them logically and rationally, they get scared and then their only defense is to start insulting the religion - because they are afraid that there's a slightest chance that they could have been wrong all this while, and that's when ego starts kicking in and they don't wanna admit that they could be wrong. It's a vicious cycle.
I mean, I was born a muslim, but when I was growing up, I questioned the religion myself (me being a skeptic), and I've questioned other religions as well and after much "scrutinization", Islam is the only one that made sense - that had a rational answer to everything, the only one without a "loophole". I mean, if you dare to question, u should dare to listen and understand.
However, I think we can explain and argue down to our last breath and most will never admit that there could be a SLIGHT possibility that they could have wronged Islam. I won't waste my breath anymore unless they are willing to open up their minds and listen. Oh well.......
I know this probably has nothing to do with the question. I'd just wanted to take this opportunity to voice out. But really, peace to everyone though. Just be happy and live life as life is there to live.

No; I would not like to pray for the curse of Allah upon anyone. God will do the judging and not I. I am a bigger sinner then most.

No, I would not pray such a twisted prayer.
Jesus clearly says who has seen Him has seen God. I believe Jesus is the truth, but I believe in free will. We all have a choice to make. I think it never should be to kill and hate. We are never going to agree on all things.

"Love your neighbor as you do yourself and pray for those who persecute you."
I am not ashamed of the L-rd my G-d or of His Son Jesus the Christ. He has promised never to harm or abandon those He cares for. This is my faith, belief, and relationship I have with G-d Almighty. His great name is "I AM".

Thank you for posting this.
More Christians need to realize just how Islam views them. We know very well that we are the "liars" this verse refers to.
And yet, hear Jesus' command:
Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you...
Therefore, in accordance with the command of the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose disciple I am, I ask my God to send down blessings for curses.
Learn of the Lord Jesus, Dragon, for He is gentle and meek. He is truly the Prince of Peace...and, be blessed.

This verse is speaking of those who lie and say Jesus is god or the son of god. That we should pray for them to be cursed.. Issa(pbuh) is not God nor the son of god. This chapter explains that he is like Adam and that Allah(swt) created them both the same way by saying be and then they were.

Since when have members of a church been masters to God asking Him to do their bidding?
God bows down to no one. You worship Him and you worry about your own salvation. You have no power and no authority over anyone.
