My son the example you have given is neither adultery nor fornication although masturbation and impure thoughts are broadly speaking an extension of that kind of failure. To say to the priest that you have failed against the sixth commandment is too vague for the priest to give you specific council. So, normally you have to be a little more specific. What you indicate will be more properly put as having had impure thoughts and had self gratification (an other way of describing masturbation and does not sound so crude).
Hope this helps
Peace

The second table of the law corresponds to the first, adultery is technically idolatry, the substitution of one thing for another. It is our fallacious modern reasoning which limits this to sex and then proceeds to explain it away in a kind of casuistry that says, "Oh, no one married was involved so it's okay." Masturbation is not really the issue, but the defilement of the sacrament of marriage and the sanctity of life, our partnership with God as co-creators. Each act of sexual intercourse is in and of itself a marriage whether the intent to procreate is there or not, since the result of that act may be the conception of a human life. Your confession is valid if you simply state the commandment by its number as long as you acknowledge your responsibility and intention to repent. You can also confess your sin as simple lust or concupiscence (few use this technical term), the precursor of sexual activity and make an appropriate act of contrition. In the Catholic enumeration of the commandments this is number six (many Protestants have it as number seven, the Bible doesn't really break the ten down quite that neatly). No details are really necessary, as a matter of fact many good confessors discourage it as dwelling on the sin, i.e. re-committing it in the process of retelling it. The priest is not there making a checklist of all the prurient matters concerning your life. I've sat in a confessional with the distinct feeling I was being pummeled to death with marshmallows, most sins are dreadfully common and ordinary. Really how many six year olds have either the inclination or ability to break the sixth commandment?
And you ARE confessing to God, NOT TO THE PRIEST, he's just there to help you make that confession and give you assurance of God's pardon and absolution. This is what Jesus commissioned the apostles to do after His resurrection when He said."Receive the Holy Spirit, Whosoever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven them, whosoever sins ye retain, they are retained". This power still resides in the Church. It is Christ who acts, not the priest.

Adultery is defiling the marriage bed by committing sexual acts (oral, penetration, kissing, dwelling on the lustful desire, pornography--viewing it or participating in it---as in acting in entertainment---or multiple partners, etc.) outside the sanctity of marriage; cheating with someone outside of your wife. Fornication is sex not married. Both are grave sins and those who commit them and show no repentance, or those who commit these acts then pretend to show remorse or repetenance bear no place in God's kingdom.
Adultery is also when a spouse divorces the other for the sake of marrying another person, or having sex with another person. The divorce was not based on Biblical grounds but immoral, deceitful grounds which amounts to something that is detestable to Jehovah God. Sometimes one spouse might try to force his/her spouse into a divorce by causing arguments and chaos in the marriage so that the other will file for divorce. Anyone guilty of either of these acts is committing adultery.
The person above that said fornication and masturbation is nothing to be worried about is out of her mind to say the least; to step it up a bit, a liar is she. She did not get what she just falsely stated from the Bible but from her own ill-mannered, battered mind. Remember, when you're imperfect don't go off of your own imperfect understanding; look to what is true, the Bible. The Catholic religion is of a false doctrine and beliefs also, so that's another snag. You really do need to ask God for guidance because where you are now presently is in the dark about accurate knowledge.
1 Corinthians 6: 9 - 10
What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons (gamblers, greeds), nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.
Hope this has helped. Bless you and good luck.

Adultery is to have sex while married or with someone that is married or both. This is a grave sin and requires one to repent to Allah sincerely and warrants the punishment of death for those convicted without a reasonable doubt as having committed it. As for masturbation, it is not strictly forbidden though disliked. In either case you don't have to go through an intermediary to attain the forgiveness of Allah (God). Allah (God) knows best!

I think the priest would like it better if you described the lust and masturbation in detail.
You have only committed adultery when you have had sex with someone outside your marriage.
If you have committed adultery, don't just admit to the sin, names dates and positions would be helpful to the priest in determining your penance. (GOD already saw you the priest wants the inside scoop)

It's an infraction the Bible tells its believers to kill people for if they have fun with anyone other than the people they are married to. It also says not to kill anyone. Don't you wish it would make up its mind. After all, it's a "how to book" for Christians. They, being sheaple, take the entire thing literally, so they read that they should stone the adulterers to death, then they read don't kill people and their tiny little brains get confused and start smoking.

Adultery is having sexual act to a married woman who is not your wife., but I think you are still very young to understand the matter as I could could examine your unnecessary question about your desire of flesh. You still need to consult your parents about the matter.
