Hi everyone! I am noticing a some new "cosmic----s" on the R&S scene.

Will you please let me know if you have recently changed your avatar name to "cosmic..." and what your old avatar name was?

Also, how does this name reflect the "new you"?

When I change my name, I think it will be something SO original like MumOf5.... (expect that in about 4 year's time, lol).

Love and Peace! xo

P.S.... the original CD is also very welcome to reply! :-)

What does "cosmic" mean to you? I am guessing it means that you are one with the universe/universal energy. ??

See, I have a real problem here. I don't know for sure either. But I'm going to guess . . .
I suggest three stages of understanding.

1. I know that there exists an ultimate Truth, which I will call cosmic truth. . .
This is the intellectual knowledge that all is one. Unity. The cosmic reality of non-separation. - I got that!

2. I see evidence of cosmic truth . . .
These are the hints, the little glimpses of cosmic Truth. What I once described here as the little moments that make you dance. They become more intense as you make spiritual 'progress'. I get those.

3. I am cosmic truth . . .
Then there is Kensho, Samadhi, the great moment of non-time when the whole universe in all its glory somehow explains itself to you. It is apparently ecstatic and completely life changing. That I have not experienced.

There are some on R&S who have experienced Kensho. Who thoroughly KNOW cosmic truth from the inside.

Now, it is my guess, though I'm not sure, that those who call themselves 'cosmic' actually HAVE experienced that. (I confess to feeling mildly jealous).

I changed my avatar's name to suggest that I find myself on 'the quest.' So I'm Baggins, but I'm not cosmic.

Like you, my friend, I still seek. (Even though I know who it is who is hiding).

Love and blessing, Mumof4

I hadn't noticed the trend, Mum. So thanks for pointing it out. I think it can only be a positive thing that more and more people are recognizing that we are all part of the cosmos. Fundamentally, our atoms are the atoms of the stars, born in the same instant and scattered across the universe. "Matter" is evolved and organized in lots of different ways. But the universe continues to expand, our cosmic brothers and sisters and matter and energy of the great Oneness continue to ride the solar winds, gravitational tides, currents in time, and so on. It is why there is so much in the Universe that is different, and yet so much that is the same.

In my own spiritual tradition we recognize concepts of time and distance to be perceptions and conventions; we have for centuries acknowledged based merely upon logic that sentient beings must exist throughout space and time. Science and the laws of probability continue to move toward this same conclusion as more data, better measurements and more observations are made about our universe.

What this all means is that our precious human life on earth is a pretty rare gift in the universe, although undoubtedly not unique. Given how rare the conditions that support life are in this quadrant of the universe, the only rational approach is to take care of the planet we have and not destroy it, our means of physical existence. When we appreciate our precious opportunity at having a human life -- whether we believe we were put here by a creator god or gods, or evolved as all physical matter in the universe itself is evolving -- we realize that the opportunity should not be squandered in petty arguments or meaningless transient pursuits. When we accept that each of us as a "product" of billions of years of physical processes in the universe is the same, and that only our "packaging" is different, it opens the door for unconditional love and universal compassion.

While I haven't changed my name or Avatar, I am a "new me" every day -- owing to the changes in millions of cells in my body every day, and the rewiring of my brain that comes from daily spiritual practice and daily exposure to life. Each day I hope that the "me" who appears is better than the "me" that was here yesterday!

I didn't change my avatar because I may not be able to live up with cosmic expectations. If I am to change my avatar prefix with a the word "cosmic" I feel comfortable with Cosmic Glitch - an anomaly somewhat in that level.

Still cosmically voyaging here, as we have been for countless millenia, . I think it is known which cosmic I am, but always happy to clarify if needed. Although my sense of individuated identity is getting a little blurred these days. :-)))

To anyone thinking otherwise, as my coyote-brother has said, we are all cosmic, some just haven't felt it yet, but no-one is excluded, absolutely no-one. Every time I see a new Cosmic pop up I feel a great sense of joy and pleasure, when I see a succession of Cosmics answering a question, I 'feel' the 'Oneness' in a most extraordinary and wonderful way. Shifting us more and more.

To be 'cosmic' is a simple declaration of the real-isation that this 'Oneness' is who we are, to be, or not to be, it's no question, it's just a statement. Feel it, say it, be it.

I am That Cosmic, I am.

Edit :

CosmicallyDancingShaka, Buddhamonkeyboy, and now CosmicKiss, fabulous posts from all of you, thank you for sharing your cosmicness. :-)))

Hi! I was just noticing that my contact list is bursting with new Cosmic energy! Join the Unity of One!

Shaka La'har has left the building

Truthfully, nothing is wasted. Everything has meaning. Feeling left out when it's a simple gesture of putting yourself in, is a double-edged sword. A skill of releasing.. I, like everyone else embrace every new cosmic that hits the scene. The dancer moves freely.

I love this question btw....
And it means:

((((((((((((((Cosmic Love))))))))))))))))))
Edit: and exactly what that charming cosmicvoyager above me said. *sips* all around

Edit: On a behind the scenes note. This wasn't planned, btw. Anyone who grabs hold, just did it because they wanted to. and that has always been the energy of it. Now, when I choose my new name and had it a couple of days, I wrote CC and told him that I was keeping it. So, right away; I knew that it wasn't about cloaning.lol!

Warm smiles :-D

The cosmic family dances, sings, howls, sips, voyages, drifts, shifts, and generally loves and accepts the cosmicality of it all ~~ Exhilarated with joy, brotherhood, journeying through the experience of oneness of all that is ~~Tuning in to the grand cosmic symphony ~~ Ahhh ~~ Tis an unveiling, a revealing, a cosmic journey to a place we've always been.

((((((((Cosmic Peace & Love!!!)))))))))))))))

and a *kiss* :-D

Edit: In the process of fusion great amounts of energy are radiated. The vast storehouse of cosmic love is being tapped into and I deeply appreciate the love energy swirling around! May it continue to radiate joy to all who are willing to accept it and become living joy ~~

It could be more like a gathering of cosmic souls rather than a brotherhood ;)
