you must think it's because of religion, or else you wouldn't have posted this here.

personally, i think it's because some parents are too damn lazy to actually DO any parenting nowadays.

1. Teenagers' role models are actors and singers.

2. The compulsory teaching of evolution - survival of the fittest !!

3. We are now in the Post-Modern Age - morality is relative.

4. TV promotes immorality [Note: I didn't say ALL TV shows are bad]

5. Parents take less responsibility in training their children - due to divorce, unwed mothers and no father figure, mothers working outside the home, etc.

6. The nuclear family - no back-up system like what took place in the extended family.
