Have tools? Buy a repair manual and do it yourself!!

PROBLEM IS: Most of the time when the gasket blows, the head is warped. You will need to have the head checked at a machine shop to see if it is still flat or needs to be milled flat.

also - you will need to buy new head bolts. The old ones will have stretched.

The 2.4 liter engine almost never has head gasket problems. That said after machine shop head resurfacing and valve job. You are still left with a set of old pistons and rings low oil pressure and a host of other things that can cause oil consumption. Was it overheated?
240 SX is popular with the young drifters they really like the rear wheel drive.Sell it in the condition it is in. Johnny Drifter will just change out the engine anyway. Take the money you would have spent fixing old paint and money from selling your old firend. (GO CAR SHOPPING)
