like, "why do Catholics pray to Mary and the Saints", or "why do Catholics worship Mary and the Saints", when those questions have been answered over and over.
also, why do Bible-fundamentalists even care about what Catholics think? why can't they just mind their own business?

Black propaganda. They think that by repeating a lie again and again some people will believe them. Only mentally challenged people will probably fall for that trick.
Fundamentalism is the height of bigotry and religious intolerance. Their answers are so pathetic.
Peace and blessings!

Sometimes the same people post their questions over and over; I encountered this recently, with another "why don't you just pray directly to Jesus" anti-Catholic post disguised as a question ... and the person had posted the same thing just days ago. She protested that she was just looking for information; however, she got informed and accurate responses from Catholics but still chose the "amen, sister, they're idolaters" answer as best.
They aren't looking for information, or answers, or Biblical reasons why we do what we do. They think we need to be saved and that they are the ones to do it. And they also don't want others to be learning about the Church and possibly (gasp) converting.
I have been answering them, as have other Catholics here, but lately I am at the point where I probably should shake that dust from my feet and stop rising to the bait lest my answers become very un-Christian. Sort of like the attitude I have in this one.

Do Catholics worship Mary? Dang, I guess I didn't pay enough attention in Catholic school. I remember honoring her, and having a procession of some kind. I find it very cool that the mother of the Lord is honored, and remembered. I think it's comforting to many people to have a mother in heaven, who we can ask to pray for us. After all, my son listens to me, so maybe Jesus listens a little bit closer to her.
Also, whenever I have had that question put to me by fundies, I always have the impression it's kind of a little ribbing, or competition. I try to look at it that they're just curious, though. To me, neither side is right or wrong, it's what you are raised with, and comfortable with. I feel like there's something missing in a non Catholic church, when there is no acknowledgment of Joseph, or Mary. Also, when I was raised, I heard nothing bad or prejudiced at all against Protestants. But I have to say, I don't think they can say the same. I think many Protestant parents taught their kids a bit of prejudice of Catholics. I just learned this year why the KKK hated Catholics, it's because of the Pope. It's nice to be on the hate list of a bunch of dirtbags, that says good things about us. Also, Hugo Chavez took on the Catholic church lately, which also means we are doing something right ( hee hee).

The Reformation happened over 400 years ago. I hope there isn't anyone still unhappy over that. Kinda of silly. I asked my ex who is a Fundy and we agreed that the churchs have split over rituals and that Jesus only wanted two-foot washing and the communion. I can't imagine praying to any one but Jesus. I guess that's why Fundys do it. I can't be a Fundy because my ex and I argue too much. Thanks.

You've GOT to read the story of St John of Bosco. He had these dreams, and one of them was of this exact thing of which you speak.
It just IS, man. That's the way of it. The game's afoot and we are plonked smack dab in the middle of it. Best to sneak about and tackle the enemy with a head-on prayer. ROSARY TIME!!!!!

LOL at Meg. I answered several about worshiping Mary by telling them the truth and backing it up with websites. Not only did they not listen to me (or several others), but my account was swamped with "violation reports". None of the answers violated any of the guidelines. I have now changed my name and made everything on my profile private to protect it from the "Christians".
BTW- Catholics are not only Christians, they are the largest denomination of Christianity.

For the same reason in Diet & Weight Loss so many people ask "How can I lose weight fast?" A whole lot of people are ignorant, have no common sense, and are unable to look up information themselves.

Because Bible-fundamentalists are hard of hearing. They find it even harder to hear the truth.

to show you that your church isn't following the Bible. If a church doesn't follow the Bible then it is a Cult. If you are happy being in a cult that doesn't believe the word of God, and makes up its own rules that's fine. But, it kind of defeats the purpose of going to church.
For the guy that says the church predates the Bible he is right. But, the church was led by the disciples that walked with Jesus. They had the guidance of Jesus's personal ministry and the old testament. And the letters writen by the deciples. The Bible is an account of how they taught their churches.

Can you find in the Bible where we should pray to Mary? I can't .It states in the bible that Jesus is our Intercessor Not Mary. Mary is an earthy vessel that Our God found Favor in.I would have to say that she is a awesome mother, but when God gave word to people and inspired them to write the Bible and he said that when HIS SON JESUS CHRIST was crucified on the cross it rent the Vail in the holy of holies from top to bottom making equal access unto our God by The blood or Christ I PRAY TO GOD AND I SEE STUFF HAPPEN PERIOD. As you said (worship Mary and the saints) That really dangerous to worship anything but God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ and if you believe in Jesus Christ and that God Raised him from the dead on the third day for the remission of sins that makes you a saint.
