Yes, Ken, quitting now will return you to your pre-smoking health after a few years. The longer you smoke, the worse it is for your health, so do stop now. Also, do quit smoking weed. It has no filter to keep particulate matter out of your lungs. Congratulations on being so smart! You'll be glad you did, and the more you learn about what smoking anything does to you, the happier you will be.

Absolutely quitting smoking will make a huge difference. The sooner you quit the more benefit you gain.
If you quit now your risk of lung cancer can drop almost to the level of a person who's never smoked. Your risk of emphysema and other lung diseases goes down as well.
If you wait until you're 20, 30, 40, 50, or older, you won't get as much benefit and it'll be much harder.
Ask your parents to take you to a doctor who can help you quit.
In California, you can call 1 800 NO BUTTS for help.

I was in the same boat as you, I started at about the same age, now I'm 22 and have quit at least 4 times. I used the patch a couple times and it really helps with the physical cravings but the mental part is up to you. It sounds like you really do want to quit and you will feel sooo much better when you do! Trust me!

People can improve their health by quiting smoking after 20 years or more. Quiting now while you are still very young will absolutely improve your health. Being as young as you are, you can bring your lungs back to being totally healthy. Besides I have never spoken to a single person who said 'I really wish I had never quit smoking'.

Get a check up to be sure, but you are young enough to recover. I'm back in the gym after having quit smoking and drinking and I am doing fine.

"20 minutes after quitting: Your heart rate and blood pressure drops.
12 hours after quitting: The carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to normal.
2 weeks to 3 months after quitting: Your circulation improves and your lung function increases.
1 to 9 months after quitting: Coughing and shortness of breath decrease; cilia (tiny hair-like structures that move mucus out of the lungs) regain normal function in the lungs, increasing the ability to handle mucus, clean the lungs, and reduce the risk of infection.
1 year after quitting: The excess risk of coronary heart disease is half that of a smoker's.
5 years after quitting: Your stroke risk is reduced to that of a nonsmoker 5 to 15 years after quitting.
10 years after quitting: The lung cancer death rate is about half that of a continuing smoker's. The risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, cervix, and pancreas decrease.
15 years after quitting: The risk of coronary heart disease is that of a nonsmoker's."
You can think of smoking as a car barreling down a hill with a brick wall at the end...aka your death. As soon as you quit, the brakes are slowly applied. The sooner you quit, the more time you have to brake.
