it does not. the body's O2 demand would remain high for a period of time increasing cardiac work load. i guess it could happen but i would not think it likely.

It doesn't as far as I know. Although I could be wrong. You should tell me where you heard this from. But anyway you're bloodpressure will rise because your heart is pumping blood around faster and faster the more tired you get. If your normal pulse is around 80-90 BPM and after exercise you raised it to 180-190 BPM it will take less time for your heart to calm back down to normal if you raised it to around 280-290 (if its this high you might as well be dead). So your blood pressure doesn't always revert to normal in 2 minutes. It all depends on how you pushed yourself in the exercise.
Note: 2 minutes could just be the average person doing an average workout.

It is the normal way for the human system to react. Your blood pressure goes up during exercise to more greatly push blood for the increased oxygen requirement. As the body returns to inactivity, it doesn't require the extra pumping from the heart.

Body increases production of nitricoxide which relax vessels and so the blood pressure drops. Also, excercise maybe unblock some microvasculars that help restore BP.

depending on your level of fitness, the body tries to revert back to resting heart rate, and hence blood pressure, as quickly as it can. Look up the relationship (formulas) between heart rate and blood pressure and it will be more clear to u.
Its Like homeostasis.........

it depends basically hw much is ur body conditioned.if u see in athletes blood pressure wil take larger time to rise bec they r conditioned.if u see in normal average adult who is exercising 4 first time blood pressure rises sooner then in subsequents trials.many systems comes to play especially the peripheral vasculature , musculoskeltal system,and effect of vagus depressing centre which r enough to revert back the b.p to normal.
