They wouldnt believe him. The atheists are so against God, they would call him a liar, say the fish was a pet, say it was a camera trick. There are people out there that dont think that men landed on the moon.

Repent of what? Seeing someone spat out of a whale's mouth? Heck no! I'd get out the popcorn . . . As for needing Jonah, what we really need are more whales.

It will be more tolerable for those in Sodom than this generation. They wanted a sign, Jesus gave them the sign of a 3rd day Resurrection. Instead of believing, the paid off the guards!!

Repent and believe! Nineveh did!

I would. Better yet, we all need to be placed in timeout the way Jonah was, so we can really think about obeying God the next time.

I saw that at Seaworld last year.
The guy's name was Josh not Jonah and he didn't say anything just looked real scared while he waited for EMS to come.

We have God's word, the Bible. If we will not listen to that, we will not believe even if we see someone spit out by a whale.

This is similar to this passage:

Luke 16:
27 Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,
28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’
29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

I'd probably push him back in. I'm not so compassionate with people who try to tell me what to do.
