What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
it's from the 60's but has a wonderful sentimental flavour. (It was sung at my father's funeral)
I love the 50's too. All I have to do is dream by the Everly Brothers is good. Perry Como catch a falling star.

God bless you and your family Chris - during this difficult time. I know the anguish you must be feeling.

"When I Get Where I'm Going lyrics"

When I get where I'm going
On the far side of the sky
The first thing that I'm gonna do
Is spread my wings and fly

I'm gonna land beside a lion
And run my fingers through his mane
Or I might find out what it's like
To ride a drop of rain

[Chorus]
Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
I will shed the sins and struggles
I have carried all these years
And I'll leave my heart wide open
I will love and have no fear
Yeah when I get where I'm going
Don't cry for me down here

I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck

[Repeat chorus]

So much pain and so much darkness
In this world we stumble through
All these questions I can't answer
So much work to do

But when I get where I'm going
And I see my maker's face
I'll stand forever in the light
Of his amazing grace
Yeah when I get where I'm going
There'll be only happy tears
Hallelujah
I will love and have no fear
When I get where I'm going
Yeah when I get where I'm going

first of all, i'm sorry you misplaced your Mum tell her no offence, yet your Mum ought to no longer stand Celine Dion. Your Grandma seems to have forgotten that as her daughter, you've gotten a say interior the lawsuits. discover song that your Mum enjoyed, extraordinarily what you undergo in innovations she enjoyed to sing and dance to, and with any brothers and sisters, set up a sparkling record collectively with your Grandma. Funerals could be approximately celebrating someones life and if somebody placed song I hated at my funeral, i might hang-out them, and lead them to depressing!

Well, I have put a bit of thought into this ans with Susan in mind....Like a Bridge over Troubled Waters.

And she will always be a bridge for your family.

LIKE A BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS~
~SIMON & GARFUNKLE~
When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
Im on your side. when times get rough
And friends just cant be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When youre down and out,
When youre on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
Ill take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
Im sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

Of course the Studio recording of this sounds much better than this live version.
I hope this helps.

(Sorry for your loss)

Have you considered using the hit song on her birthday in one of the years of the 50's?

In my answers there was a posting for finding the hit on your birthday and year...lol, mine was Roger Miller and His Orchestra doing yellow rose of Texas...but there was better ones, LOL

Peace be with you :)
