What effects did WW2 have on California? Please! Any ideas?

Well, for one very significant thing, there was the rounding up and detention of Japanese-Americans in internment camps, many of which were in California, and which affected California disproportionately.

Im not from the US originally but I would take a wild stab at it and say, lots of young men were sent to war, there were rations, women's rights found foothold and there were Japanese detention camps.
