That is the only way to lose weight that fast.
It is not recommended that you lose more than 2-3 pounds per week. Rapid weight loss can be dangerous & is hard to maintain. losing weight is difficult because 1 lb is 3000 calories, so you must burn 3000 calories per pound you want to lose.
instead of killing yoursel try this:
cut down on your calories, eat lean protein, and whole grains - bread is not bad, so long as it is whole grain & high in fiber, also eat your veggies & drink lots of water. It is best to eat 1200-1500 calories per day, if you eat less than this your metabilism will slow down, making it harder to lose weight.
NO fast food, no soft drinks (diet or regular) no eating unless you are hungery.
Lots of Cardio & weight training. do 30-45 minutes of strength training 3-4 times per week followed by 45-50 minutes of cardio 5-6 times per week. do your strength training 1st, it burns more calories. Also walk more during the day. Take a walk on your lunch break, walk to the store, aim for 10,000 steps per day a pedomiter is a great idea.
if you really want to lose the weight you are going to have to use dicipline & work hard. your health is worth it!

If you need to lose that much weight for only a day, its pretty simple.
Go outside and do cardio for 2 hours without water. Eat only raw vegetables for the day such as carrots, steamed brocolli, spinach, celery, etc. You should be able to lose 5 pounds just by doing that and limiting your body to just 2-3 bottles of water.
If your going for 10 pounds... I would do 2 hours of cardio twice with the same amount of water and food.
By cardio I mean a combination of running, walking, jump roping. You should not be walking the whole time though.
From personal experience, I can lose 3 pounds of water weight and fat in an hour of cardio which is about 35 minutes of straight jump roping and 15 minutes of walking (I circuit). I've done the routine three times in one day before and I lost approximately 10 pounds. About 3 pounds were gained back from water though. I usually do cardio right when I wake up--before I've consumed anything, thus targeting the fat.

In ONE day...
There are only three options, and you're not going to like ANY of them...
First - you could take about 600 laxatives. Odds are, this would only get you 3-5lbs!
Second - Liposuction. VERY costly, but it would work quite well!
Third - Amputation. Cut off part of one of your limbs. This is the most DRASTIC method, and best left as a last resort...
I think the question here is: WHY do you need to lose 5-10lbs by TOMORROW? Is this part of some bizarre homework assignment???

Laxatives will not work. But they may have you running to the bathroom with little time to spare....
Sorry, but you cannot lose 5lbs in a day, just won't happen.
If you are a wrestler, ask your coach.
