They cannot be Christians if they truly believe Jesus wasn't just the anointed one (the Christ) but the actual Messiah of the Old Testament

I'm not speaking of Messianic Jews. I'm speaking of messianic as in Messiah and gentiles. I guess you could make the name Messianic gentiles to be absolutely correct.

My thoughts exactly. I'm Messianic or sometimes I refer the terms Hebraic or Wild branch. Good question. Actually the word Christ only means anointed, the term messiah is a much deeper word for someone who saves. There is a difference between the two words. And to the guy who wrote Messianic almost destroyed Christianity; there are some crazy messianic movements out there and there are some that are really doing good things. Watch about the judging. You never know when you are entertaining angels. All messianics are not the same.

There is nothing "technical" about it. Yes, I fully believe that Jesus was the Christ, the son of the living God, and the foretold Messiah. The Jews, however misunderstood his purpose to establish a heavenly kingdom that would rule over the earth and bring blessings to all mankind, and looked for a Messiah who would fight and break the Roman yoke from their necks. They were short-sighted. Yes, Jesus had the legal right to be King of Israel by virtue of his ancestry. But as he explained to Pilate, his Kingdom was not from an earthly source.
I look forward to living under Christs Messianic Kingdom.

sure, Christians have been the 1st fulfilled messianic Jews between the Jews and the 1st between the Gentiles to re-embody the God of the Hebrews. to those Gentiles, Jesus isn't purely the Jewish Messiah however the MESSIAH or Anointed considered one of God and God Himself come right down to launch men who won't be able to launch themselves. in spite of the shown fact that all Christians do have faith that Jesus is the long-awaited Jewish messiah based on the fulfilled prophecies interior the Torah. the main important reason of a few Jews to reject Jesus is as a results of the fact he did no longer fix a actual kingdom to Israel (something He on no account stated he might do yet informed them it became no longer for them to comprehend the circumstances while He might do it)

Christ and Messiah are the same. Jesus is the Christ and the Messiah. Jesus is the Messiah that was prophesied in the O.T.
We are Christians who believe in the atonement and resurrection of Christ. We follow his teachings the word of God.

Sometimes a Christian can just have a simple faith of believing in Christ, loving Christ, and knowing the power of his resurrection, even without all the technicalities. Let's keep our salvation simple.

No I don't think so because Messianics still follow the Law of Moses still. Christians not so much, only the moral law.
