90% of Christians I've met have never questioned.
Why not?
Because they have been relentlessly brainwashed from the moment they were born until they were so indoctrinated that they no longer possess the strength of mind to think.

I lie down at night and am frequently skepical about my beliefs, and yes, I'm a Christian. I even ask God about it. I was raised a Christian, and then became a non-believer for years. Then something happened (I won't go into that here) that made me believe. But because of what happened, I don't see what I accept as the same thing as believing in unicorns and fairies. In fact, I have some very good friends who are fairies :o) --but most of them are also Christian. And if you're asking about if the "grand story" precludes a disbelief in God, then with some of us, we believe that God caused evolution, and that means we also accept science, etc., as a natural thing that came with the belief in God, e.g., that God knew very well what he was doing when He caused it to happen. Do I question the belief that God sent his son to save us? Yes, and then the question is answered. Try it sometime. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Nope - I did when I was younger, (not doubting Jesus) but some of the things that the denomination I went to was teaching....Like once Saved always saved.
Even as a youth that made no since to me, so for over 30 years I searched and I studied.
If I wanted to know more about a teaching, I went to the denomination that taught it.
i.e...7th day Sabbath, I wanted to know more so I studied with the SDA, 7th Day Church of God and 7th Day Baptist.
From that I come to the conclussion that "TODAY" is the day to worship on. Romans 14 & 15.
And now 30 years in the Ministry of Jesus Christ in some form or another I have no doubt that what I believe and teach is the "Word of God".
I am not a member of any earthly denomination and answer only to the Lord God through the Holy Spirit.

I think that most intelligent Christians who have walked in their faith past the initial youthful stage experience some angst and periods of doubt. Many of the greatest theologians and figures of the faith describe incredibly dark and painful times of doubt and wrestling with their beliefs. Many also believe that desert type experiences are actually essential in order to deepen one's faith in Christ and purge the person of superficial emotionalism, etc.
The reason it is not on par with mythological legends is because of the presence of the Holy Spirit as a relational Divinity. Most Christians who pursue knowing God experience a deepening wisdom and connection to God as they grow and mature. It isn't then so much about not being skeptical as it is about continuing to trust and grow and know.

Of course not. There were 8 Jesuit Priests in the innermost mile of the Hiroshima atomic bomb blast that lived decades afterward, into old age, all free of radioactivity, as if nothing had detonated over them. How on earth could I have any problem knowing that three Hebrews survived the heat of a very hot furnace in Babylon?

When The Holy Spirit is living in you, you can only know truth, assurance and joy that surpasses human understanding. Doubt is from satan who tries to lure us away from truth in The Lord. My relationship with Jesus is so very real that doubt does not enter in. Revelation is from God and knowing God strengthens Faith. If you do not have a relationship with Jesus, you will not comprehend a christian's world. All of our words will sound foolish to you until you experience The Living Word IN you for yourself. God bless

needless to say many all people is skeptical. a strategies too in many circumstances people strengthen up no longer thinking something and stay an entire life of ideals that they actually don't comprehend. as quickly as we comprehend we exist we are brought about the question of why. quicker or later, we are given a style of threat or diety. while we evaluate the justifications why, and the solutions of others who got here previously us, we are given extra documents to respond to. there's a reason to our universe and for our life. we don't have empiracle information to assert what that reason is. somewhat, technology and faith the two digress to the discoveries of people who got here previously us. technology is getting to comprehend characteristics of many motives in spite of the shown fact that it nevertheless won't be able to answer the who or what's the originator. Then, what became previously the originator or origination? faith runs in the two circles. often times, we hinge our faith on fake premises as in technology and faith. yet, that doe no longer forget what's real. wisdom the real is complicated. Experiencing the real is way less stressful. Many memories interior the Bible as in customary fiction is writtne to make a factor. no longer all memories interior the Bible are literal and not all memories in customary custom is real the two. no longer all technology is valid different than the expression of a premise. often times, all of us could desire to proceed to exist faith. speaking of religion, I even have self belief that the invisible sign that my telephone gets will come to me. The invisible spirit of character reflects to me the size of a human. If i will comprehend that those issues are invisible i will additionally renowned and comprehend that different issues or different someones is additionally invisible. that's somewhat undemanding to comprehend do no longer you think of?

You have a lot of great questions, thanks for asking them. This might be a huge let down for you, but I don’t think that having doubts and being skeptical are bad things, in and of themselves. It is when those doubts or skeptical feelings make you fully turn your back on G-d, that might cause hurt and anguish to the soul. And that is when I feel sad and sorry for them.
Remember, that one day you will die and since, no one has ever come back to tell us there is -- no judgment, no G-d, no after-life. How can you be 100% sure that you will not stand before G-d and have to account for your unbelief? If you have chosen to not belief and decided that G-d is not real to you, honestly based on what you believe; that is fine for you. But that will not and can't stop me or any other Christian, from praying that the Holy Spirit will continue to work on your unbelieving heart.
Now as for “My” relationship with G-d and Jesus the Christ, it needs no defense. I am secure in the knowledge of who I am in the Kingdom of G-d and Family of Jesus the Christ. I know that He (G-d) is powerful enough to defend Himself. You only “know about” Him and His Kingdom. You only “know about” Jesus the Christ. And you only “know about” The Holy Spirit. Until you are in a believing, faith-filled relationship- you do not and will not ‘know’ the joy, excitement, gladness, and peace; that I have in my life—becasue- of this believing faith.
If this relationship, that I have with My Heavenly Father; makes me a freak? So what, so be it I am a freak. I am not on this planet to gain anything from you or any other person. I was not born to praise and glorify humans. I am on this planet to willingly, freely, joyfully, and gladly; to give all honor, all glory, and all thanksgiving to G-d Almighty.
It is through, with, in, and because of my relationship with G-d; that I am who I am. This relationship has shaped my personality, goals, and morals. It is my strength when I stumble. I comfort when I fall. My joy when I am feeling down. G-d is the best-friend I will ever have, a friend that gives me unconditional love; in times of happiness and sorrow. Someone I can talk to anywhere and at anytime. This is my culture, my traditions, and my journey in this temporary life.
If that is a bad thing, than everyone needs to stop allowing culture or nationality influence their life. This is my life, faith, belief, and relationship with, in, through and beside- G-d my Heavenly Father-- Jesus the Christ, whom is my Savior--- and the Holy Spirit who is my guiding light. Nobody has or will be able to have this relationship. It might be similar, but not exact. We all have a special calling in our life that is placed on us-- when we believe in G-d. Before I had G-d, depression was so thick in my life that I just wanted to put an end to everything. I had no hope for the future. No joy in my heart and no faith in the human-race.
G-d, through His Word, The Bible; has showed me that there is hope for everyone. Is that so horrible to believe?

Yes, and for a while I was very agnostic. I did not know what to believe. I did not have a firm belief in God anymore. Eventually, after years of study, prayer, fasting, and repentance, I received a powerful witness from God that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I can't deny it. I now consider myself a convert to Christianity from agnosticism.

Of course, I have moments of doubt and skepticism. That's a natural human trait. I've spent quite a bit of time researching and questioning. It's not as if I never once stopped to think about what I believe. But you seem to be suggesting that just because my conclusions about belief came out differently than yours that they're somehow inferior.

Some of us are mature in our beliefs. We have tested our beliefs and have experential knowledge that God is true. For those on the outside God can seem like the Force from Star Wars, but for us in the cloud of witnesses, God is our Father, Jesus is our Lord and Savior, and The Holy Spirit is our Comforter. Even beyond all that we have found that God is our friend.
