I have bred this species with other species of too's. I find the goffin better then any other species of cockatoo. Here's why:
smarter, more content, more entertaining, not so demanding, they can pick a lock..
If you don't start them out with a lot of attention, they don't demand it. Where as the other species "demand" it. Goffins are quite the clowns and are content with toys and entertaining you with acts to content themselves with. They can play with toys for hours. I would however interchange toys every 4 weeks to keep them busy. Just don't keep them on a schedule. They are great talkers and will talk in sentences.
But like all birds, they have their own unique individuals, and personalities. I personally have never met one i didn't like or fall in love with. Not one that i could not deter a bad habit away from. They are also very easy to train, even potty train.
Good Luck with your decision!

They are more cuddly (in my experience).
Any cockatoo can be taught to be friendly to everyone, but goffins don't really need to be taught. They're naturally like that.
They are a LOT quieter. They are capable of being as loud as other cockatoos, but they don't have the same "need" to scream as other 'Toos. Other cockatoos have a certain amount of time that they want you to spend with it and if they don't get it, they scream. Goffins only expect the amount of attention they're used to. If you spend 1-2 hours with them each day, they'll expect that. If you spend 5 hours with them the first week or two, they'll expect that. Just don't give it too much attention at first to keep them from getting spoiled.

Goffins are no friendlier than any other cockatoo. It all depends on how you handle them and get them used to being handled from hand rearing.
Any bird can be cuddly, loving, friendly, talkative and quiet depending how you train them to be. I breed and hand rear all sorts of birds but each one has a different personality. They then can change by there environment or with there carer.
They can be quiet or noisy depending on the what they hear as they are growing.
I have known Umbrellas that have been so quiet that you didn't know they were there and I have known Goffins that could empty a football stadium with their screaming.
I have a lesser sulphur crested at the moment in my store and she is so quiet she is lovely.

Goffins are a typical cockatoo. Very cuddly and playful also very emotionally complex, demanding and sensitive. They have a lower decibel level due to their smaller size but are still very capable of an impressive amount of noise.
