My bf bought me this book today because i wanted it for me and him. and it was 10000 ways to be romantic, and i read somethings to him and everything that i liked he said was stupid.

Guys don't like to be told what is romantic. Most of us have our own preset views on this matter. What may be romantic for one couple may not be for your bf. What does not fall into our parameters is not considered romantic by us. Also, any good ideas we hear that we did not think of ourselves is automatically a stupid one. Which we might repeat later.
Besides, what you did was read the ideas to him. Instead, read through the book and highlight your favorite ones. Then, either let him read the book. OR, copy the pages, and leave 'hints' where he might find them.
I would go for the later.

Becuase most guys do see that romantic girly stuff as stupid. And quite frankly, alot of it is because it's made up by card companies, candy companies, candle companies, jewelry companies and florists in order to get the public to spend even more money on things they don't need.

Maybe he's feeling pressured, like you bought this for him so he would do these things and that upset him/made him nervous. So instead he might of covered that up and just been like 'thats stupid'.
