oh you should spay her now. my cat well she lost a litter but then went in heat and i spayd her when she was and so glad. it makes them so loving. well mine is and she is my best and only house hold pet show cat.
now the kittens, usally 9wks is the safest time to give them up but some kittens are ok 7wks but not all. this is there social time and they do need their siblings. you should wait a week or two to be on the safer side. but dont give up on finding homes now. this would be a great time to find homes for them but not having them live there til 1 or 2 weeks. like reserve homes for them now. and also this will let you know that they are going to good homes.
but ya its safe for your mommy cat to get spayed when shes in heat.
see spaying, some cats dont take it well and it changes them. my second youngest cat Sushi, i wish i would of let her have a litter so she can get that mommy instant or spayed her when she was in heat cause she is the most spoiled arry little brat and well used to be my staring show can,.. not anymore.
well when they are in a loving desperate mood like that, they are more loving in life and it makes them more comfortble when going through recovery.

Apparently, the optimal age for giving kittens away is 12 weeks. Maybe you should wait a couple more weeks before giving them away. May I also suggest a vet visit, vaccinations and deworming before 'putting them up for adoption," as well as charging a small adoption fee? Too many people take these free kittens and feed them to snakes, or worse . . . unspeakably worse. If you have them vaccinated, etc., and charge a fee, this will help prevent the kittens going into the wrong hands.

Good luck!!

I would not be comfortable letting kittens go at 7 weeks. When I was breeding Abyssinian kittens, I generally kept them until they were 16 - 20 weeks old. That way they had had their shots, their immune systems were well developed and they were spayed or neutered. Aby kittens at that age are very self-sufficient and self-confident. If you are unsure, I would encourage you to err on the side of caution.

no do not...
they are not ready yet...
the more time they spend with their litter mates the better pet they will be...

when kittens are given away prematurely they develop behavioral problems..

this is because the litter mates teach each other what appropriate behavior is..

Fro example 2 kittens are playing together and one of the kittens bites the other a little too hard.. the hurt kitten lets out a mew and maybe she hisses at the other kitten who hurt her... the then learns what is acceptable play and what is not

a kitten that doesn't learn these fundamentals is a very enjoyable pet... they constantly scratch and bite and they are not fun to play with ....

my friend got her kitten to early and you cant even pet it without getting scratched or bitten .. that's how out of control it is..

Just leave them together for another 3- 4 weeks
trust me its better for them in the long run

They are just a little bit young, 8 weeks is usually the minimum age to be separated from their mother, or even their siblings, even fully weaned, they still need to learn cat behaviours that only their mums can teach them.
It is, however NOW that you should be getting the mother spayed.
If she goes on heat you will probably have to wait then, till the NEXT lot of kittens....

NO NO! They are TOO young,my cats breeder made us put anti-bactirial stuff on our hands before we could even touch him at six weeks old! You are not suppose to give them away until 12wks old,but you usually can at 9wks!
Dont you dare give that kitten away he is too young!

Sounds like those kittens are ready to go. They've met all the criteria for independent living.
