Luck is one word i do not believe should ever be used because there is no such thing. If you think about it, it's not luck, Its more meaningful to me say that what are the odds of this happening. For example if you win money with a lottery ticket it wasn't luck it was the odds of you getting that certain ticket. But the word is used alot, and you don't like to stop someone to voice your opinion on what they just said to explain, it's no big deal but i just hate the word luck. so may the odds be in favor of getting this answered to your satisfaction!

In fishing, for the most part we create our own "luck" by studying the lake maps, using the correct baits for the correct species, fishing the most likely areas to hold fish, using the best presentation for any given area or weather pattern or water color or the amount of vegetation in the lake. Thats what I consider luck in fishing.

Luck is pulling in a 7lb flounder along with a big mass of fishing line, only to find that you have`nt hooked the fish at all. Just the line that the fish is hooked on.
