I have this "flab" around the middle that just won't seem to go away no matter how many situps, etc. I do...and, yes I am dieting as well.

Sit-ups and other ab exercises won't help get rid of "love handles" or a "muffin top."
They'll strengthen your core and abs, but they don't get rid of fat which is what you want.

Try fat burning exercises or a healthy diet. There's no quick fix. You've got to work your entire body. Have you ever seen someone with a tight stomach and flabby thighs or arms? Probably not, because you can't pinpoint fat loss. It's happens over the whole body.

we cant spot reduce body fat naturally.
sit ups and crunches only build muscle so will make your belly look bigger.
cardio is the only fat burning exercise -running, jogging, swimming, elliptical, spinning etc - do it 4-6 times a week for average of 45min.
