Why do we, as fans, waste our time answering questions that bash NASCAR or the drivers? Is it the quick 2 points? i'm not talking about decent ones. I'm refering to the "NASCAR sucks" and "Why are the drivers considered atheletes". These ummmmm, "educationally challenged" questions.

I was just wondering this. The martial arts section has some wrestling fans coming in and starting crap. They get pretty vulgar though. That is what started my thinking about this.

Ed K- We do talk smack about each other's driver. That's a part of NASCAR. We don't tell each other that your driver isn't an athlete or crap of the sort. We know they are. I don't stoop down to the level of sexual prefference when I rib someone else, that is too lame. I believe that true fans don't need to go there.

Because we can't reach through the computer and grab them by the neck and squeeze the Chit out of them!!!!! lol
So we true fans say something to atleast knowing we did something, although you are right there is no point. Makes for some fun answers to give sometimes...
Have a good night.

I'm gonna go with PAPABILL on this one. We, as NASCAR fans, are defending our passion for the sport (oops, I called it a sport, now we're going to have to answer 10 more questions about how we can call it that!)

We can all, as intelligent NASCAR fans (I know, that's redundant),tell the difference between the ignorance ("NASCAR sucks" questions) and the ones that are thought out and seem to be asked in seriousness. Let's face it, in today's world, the definition of athlete has become clouded, thanks in part to ESPN (if we follow their guidelines, then poker players, spelling bee contestants and show dogs are athletes). It is our duty, as a NASCAR nation, to forward the cause of awareness!

The sad part is when we, as NASCAR fans, are bashing each other over our driver preference (calling so-and-so gay, etc.) We are only fueling the fire for those ignorant trolls.

I don't know. I think the 'Nascar sucks?' guy drives an 84 4-door Escort. I love it how he does not allow any emails etc.
Also, I noticed most of those guy's have less than a few answer/questions.

I just answered the other guys question because i felt it was an honest question with points he took time to think about and not just a basher.

I think the non-athlete subject pops in there head because most all people drive or ride in a car everyday but most people dont throw a baseball or run after a soccer ball everyday if once a year so they just dont get how driving a car in circles, AS THEY SAY, is athletic. I'm not a shrink but that's my take.

It's cool though because we all understand stick and ball sports AND racing. They only understand stick and ball sports....LOL!

I agree completely AND that should also include the bashing of Jeff Gordon AND Juan Pablo Montoya, not just whoever your favorite driver may be. There certainly are drivers that I'm not crazy about but they put on an awesome show for us and risk their lives. I'm a FAN OF NASCAR & I respect ALL the drivers. But these rules should apply to all, not just a select few!

I guess we want to defend Nascar against the bashers. I also don't know why they waste their time getting on a Nascar forum if they don't like it. They should be somewhere else. We would be a lot happier and so should they.

Ya I posed the very same thought about a week ago.Simply by refusing to be baited, most of the bashers will run home to mommy. But then I was thinking, most of us who truely love the sport spend lots of time in friendly rivalry with the other fans on here.(mostly friendly anyway)So when a basher posts an inane question we get to all join forces and bash right back.Therapy I'm thinking.

To stand up for our sport.Sure most of the bashers are inmature and are out to get their jollies, but I've followed this sport since 1960 and am going to "bash" the bashers .
And if they have the cahonies in person that they have on this forum they should show up at a CUP event and say this to our faces.

I can't stand them either, 9 times out of 10 I don't even post a response. I also can't stand the people that give ya thumbs down just because you like one driver over the other, that's immature.

You are absolutely right, we should completely ignore these type of pointless questions. We should not have to justify ANYTHING about the sport we love so much!!!

BUT, I think, for me anyway, it is really hard to control the impulse to "strike back" when harsh, accusatory and even stupid things are said or asked, and we feel insulted.

If we all stick together, ignore these inane questions, and report the abusive ones (see address below), most of this "crap" will quit.
Problem is, that we all have to do it. As long as we continue to feed these people answers, and validate their stupidity with our time, they win, and they will continue to abuse our forum. But, tr0ll hunting can be fun...LOL...

NASCAR ROCKS!!!

OPERATION CLEANUP RULES!!!

I don't know.. I try not to ever do that. I know i would not like it if someone talked about my driver.. and i dont just like one anyway i have three faves. Harvick is just my main one.
I agree with Godsmack. Lets ignore their questions and may the ~~~Nascar~~~Force~~~ be with us.
