She just preached to me about the Gospel and stuff. And nagged me some more on my attitude. She's a 24/7 chatterbox, I say!

How would YOU feel if you were in my shoes???

I'm not whining, just airing my DISCOMFORT.

how, my dear, am I "disrespecting" her? I did not sweat or anything...

No, I'm not a teen. I'm 22.

How can I not be a victim here? I'm not the one who should "shut up".

She is trying to look out for you. She loves you and doesn't know how else to get through. It doesn't sound like you have much respect of her. Maybe you SHOULD think about making some changes. I have an attitude too and I still get it (and I'm 31) but I know that she just loves me. You have to remember that she wont always be here and you will wish she was around "nagging you" some day. Just take some personal inventory and see if some things dont need tuning up. I know I have things that I should change, too.

Like I should quit whining.

Maybe your attitude does need some adjustment

ADDED:
Why do you ask people's honest opinions and then attack every answer you get?
Your "replies" to our answers certainly does show that you have a "victim mentality" and feel you must attack those who do not say or do as you you want them to.
Why bother asking the question if you are going to dismiss and disregard the very opinions you sought?

I'm a teen..and I'm guessing you are also...
I get what ur saying...but if you think about it...she's probably not having a fun time nagging you and she's doing it for your own benefit
if she didn't care, she could just go watch TV or chat with her friends or whomever
try to hear what she says

You cannot be a victim unless you let yourself be. Stop whining, be a grown up and don't answer the phone. I'm assuming you are out on your own paying your own way. If you aren't, then either shut up or stop free loading.

When your mother is dead, you will understand and be grateful for her love. She cares enough to nag at you. There are those of us who never had parents that loved us as much as your mother loves you. You have so much learning to do. You will never be happy, truly happy with your dispossession. Love your mother.
