It's a very good idea to memorize a speech before giving it, if you have the time. That way you can feel completely comfortable with the content of the speech and you can focus on the delivery. If the delivery is boring then the speech will be boring, and if the delivery is interesting the speech will be interesting. This is true of both memorized and extemporaneous speeches.

Memorizing speech does not have the effect. It is like playing a recorded audiotrack.

Keep the keypoints, and talk about what it means to you. People remember stories, emotions, and the feelings everything mean to you.

Famous speeches were personal words of conviction, not just memorized rambles. Remember practice couple of times before every speech.

Always think everything you speak, and don't speak everything you think. - Famous quotation. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

If it is obvious that it is memorized, NO. But you can pretend it is not, Many people do it since it is not easy to stand in front of people and give a speech you just made.

You dun really need to memorise a whole speech, just pick out the key points and focus on them, then on the speech, it will be much more easier.
