Although Duryodhana was a very noble character. He had so many good qualities. But all his good qualities were destroyed just because of one defect, his envy.
Duryodhana, again, is an incarnation of Kali. Who is Kali? Kali is the son of envy and anger. Kali is the son of envy and anger. So Duryodhana is actually a product of envy and anger. So he is extremely envious, especially of the Pandavas. Otherwise he had many good qualities. He was extremely noble, extremely generous. That is why he had so many people lined up with him--they would give up their lives.

Shakuni was very intelligent and he was the only in duryodhana's camp, who knew fully well the worth of shri krishna. Only he did not know he is God. Shakuni once said also that only Krishna has the Mantra of his poison, and he was very cautious of krishna's moves.

The Vision is the thing which tell what is good or bad. In a test between Pandava and Gauvrava. Duryodhana finds all things are bad. While the Yudhistra find all things are good and all persons doing bad as per Duryodhana and all are doing only good as per Yudhistra. So everything is as per the vision and not as per the action,

Duryodhana: Fearless, Punctual, Great Friend Shakuni: Mental Strength, Intelligent, Strong person Dhritarastra: 1000 elephants power Jayadratha: Physically Strong There is a movie which I have seen, its a regional language film. The movie name was Maya Bazaar. While everyone was looking into a case which displayed the favorite object/person of who looked into it. Sashirekha sees Abhimanyu, Balarama sees his priya sishya Duryodhana. And Sri Krishna sees Shakuni. When everyone was shocked that Krishna saw Shakuni, Krishna says "Mahanubhav log kyu dikte hain kya maloom?" Does this mean Shakuni is great? There must be some great meaning behind this scene.

(1) Duryodhana was a favourite of Mother Laxmi. The wealth touched by him would be doubled in quantity. So, he was in the charge of the treasury in the Rajasuya Yajna of Maharaj Yudhisthira.
(2) Sakuni's dedication to his father and parental family in general was praiseworthy. Sakuni's family was destroyed by Duryodhana. Sakuni came to Hastinapur to avenge the death of his family members.
(3) Jayadratha was capable of intense Tapasya. He pleased Lord Siva by eating only leaves for a year. He, of course, asked the impossible boon of killing the Pandavas, which was denied.
(4) Dhritarastra was afraid of public opinion. This may be called a good quality as this made him contain his son's insolence to some extent.

Duryodhan was very loyal to friends, sweet natured, charitable- very good ruler. Actually under his rule, the citizens were very happy. He was charismatic, and a lovable fellow. That's why Karna and Balaram loved him, and also why so many more sided with his army and not the Pandavas. He was also better skilled fighter than Bheem.
I also heard that Sakuni had love for Krsna, although I can't remember the details about it. Sakuni knew that Krsna would defeat him, but he still tried. He loved his family (particularly his sister side) very much, and had a lot of determination. He was very clever.
Dhritarashtra was attached to saintly persons, (like Vidura) and he wanted to do right. He was extremely loving to his family, and he was powerful.
I don't even know if Karna deserves to be in this category, but I guess he does. He was extremely virtuous, compassionate, charitable, extremely loyal, devoted, true to his word completely. He was straight forward, not two faced like many of his associates. He was the most powerful of his brothers. he was resolute. He was a true kshatriya through and through
I don't know a single good quality of Jayadratha. I guess yeah, he did tapasya...

Duryodhan - Cared for his brothers(Family love)
Shakuni - Patient and Persistent(towards Goal). He has good word play(oratorical skills) in taunting Yudhisthira.
Dhrithrashtra - He was gregarious person to have 100 children. (Imagine a man with 100 kids, he should have lot of patience, love and compassion). He was fair when a woman was made fun of(he wants equality of men and women), when Draupadi was made fun of in the court.
Jayadrath - is a Bold warrior known for his bravery in Chakra Vyuha
Hope this helps. :-)
