1. The age of humanity is from adam and eve on which i believe are literal man and woman made by GOD. But ihave not limited the time frames for two reasons. There may have been other homosapiens on the planet who had not the "BREATH OF LIFE" in them, that is the SPIRIT OF GOD therefore they would have been just animals. Also we have to acknoweldge Patriarchs that we can't count back literal generations, but through Abraham, Noah and the like, but not all generations may have been counted. for some lived a thousand years nearly after the fall, but not all. After some time they lived few years. And the Sons of GOD took to them from the daughters of men wives, and then we are told that GOD'S SPIRIT would not always be in them but they would LIVE just 120 years.
2. The Bible is only infallible in Faith and Morals. though in recent historical record is accurate but not all inclusive. For instance the scopes monkey trial put the Bible on trial and showed that you cannot count back generations to Adam and Eve it would disagree with scientific evidence of man on Earth.
3. The bible's focus is on the fall of adam and eve, the generations of adam and eve, the need for redemption, and GOD's plan for the salvation of men. It gives us what we need to know to be saved. But not scientific information on all species everywhere in time and space, it would have been a much more lengthy book in that instance.
4. GOD knows all things but GOD is telling us of things that will shortly come to pass and what we must know to be redeemed.
5. The snake in Genesis that tempted eve was the devil. This here is a natural description of a supernatural event. In fact, the word dragon comes from draco in the Latin, or from drakon in the Greek, and means large serpent. You'll find the themes and motifs of dragons throughout the world in literature and cultures. Incidentally dragon is "wurm" in German.
6. It isn't Catholic CHRISTian to say so of such matters as the shape of the globe, the Pope, the Bible all claim infalliblity only matters of faith and morals, with some historical accuracy as far back as Abraham . ..
7. All motion is relative not absolute. the speed of light is a constant to all observers regardless of its speed or position relative to the light. The speed of an object relative to light changes its mass particularly at near the speed of light. But a heavy planet isn't moving and already has a large mass and instead can bend light or if heavy enough light cannot escape. But the Bible does teach relativity in terms of geneologies but not interms of physics. Please forgive physics here i'm not a physicist.
8. that which is SPIRITual can affect the natural world causing disease, GOD can cure disease. but that takes more knowledge about things that cannot be seen with eyes and i couldn't tell you more than this. But it has been seen in miracles of the LORD and over th ehistory of man in the bible and since in the last 2000 years.
9. I am unconvinced there was ever a literal flood, rather i think this story is an apocolypse which describes the flood of peoples we see today and only one HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS shall be redeemed from it, JESUS CHRIST and all who are of JESUS CHRIST in HIS HOLY BODY, though everyone shall be judged . . . and Noah's family was saved . .. but we are all ONE FAMILY IN CHRIST . .. but perhaps of the animals all the dead too will be saved or some from every kind . .. who can say . .. but those in CHRIST are ALIVE . ..
10. The Ark represents the Church, the BODY OF CHRIST upon the sea of peoples and Noah the HEAD of the ship, and the measurements of the ark the measure of the commandments, and the door in teh side the wound in the side of CHRIST, at the end of the rain (reign) there will be peace when the dove finally shows us dry land is in sight and the waters begin to abate . .. Incidentally the ten commandments are the measure of the ark of the Covenant with Moses . .. and JESUS is the measure of the NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT . .. the NEW TEMPLE . ..
LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

Question 1 - I have heard that the population doubles approximately every 150 years. I divided 4500 years (Approx years from the flood) and divided by 150 which gave me 30. If you double 2 30 times you get 2147483648. If you do it two more times you get just over 8 billion. We only have 6 billion today.
Question 2 - Dinosaurs weren't discovered until the 19th century. That was when the term dinosaur became known. However the first official English Bible was translated officially in 1611 - The King James Bible. So there is no way you can have the word dinosaur in the bible. However there are many mentions of dragons. Maybe the dinosaurs? I don't know 100%, but I believe they are. Also this - Job 40:15-19
15Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
I think that Behemoth is actually a dinosaur. What else could be chief of God's creation?
Question 3 - I probably don't have a good answer for that one other then to say from looking in my concordance, it seems rather to be a figure of speech rather then to say it has only 4 legs. I think it would have been obvious to all that insects have 6 legs anyway. Maybe creeping thing means something more then insects as well.
Question 4 - I don't think the Jews of the time had the animal clasification system we have today. Maybe they considered it to be a bird. Plus remember that the original is in Hebrew and it has been translated into English, so something may have been lost in translation. That may also be the same with question 3 too.
Question 5 - The snake was cursed before death entered the Earth, so it lost its legs before anything on earth died, so you would only have fossils of snakes with no legs.
Question 6 - Isaiah 40:22 - It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
It seems to say to me that the earth is round.
Question 7 - I don't know about that one or where you got that from. The only scripture I can think of is the one of the Earth sitting suspended from nothing. Which is also true. Which noone of the time could have known. Except God.
Question 8 - Not all disease is caused by demon possession. But I believe some afflictions are.
Question 9 - I think it means that the the highest point was under by 15 cubits.
Question 10 - Noah's Ark was huge. Apparently the movie Evan Almighty gives a good show of this, as they built the ark to scale. It is HUGE!!! Find some pictures or see the movie, and you'll get an appreciation of how big it is.
Hope these answers help.

1. Lucifer (Satan) originated from God's Will (radiation) as an angel, thereby is eternal and cannot simply be puffed out of existence as that would contradict the established Laws of Creation. He also allowed people to make their own decisions and if one wants to choose evil over good, then they must accept the consequences of such actions. However, this will soon change. 2. Everything natural is naturally healthy for the human body; it's man who has misused it for destructive purposes. 3. We are all equal BEFORE God. This means, once everyone has reached paradise (heaven, or w/e you want to call it) they are all equal, since paradise is the closest to God (thus before Him). Jesus taught to accept and forgive yes, but not every time a person keeps committing the same wrong. There's a limit, you know... 4. I haven't read the bible so can't respond. 5. Homosexuality is not a sin; again, it's man who has distorted the teachings and truths. 6. No one is condemned to hell for all of eternity just because of their beliefs. It all comes down to the fruit of their deeds. Thus, even the most resolved Atheist can be "saved" if he has led a good, fruitful existence. 7. The heavens is a vague term. The beyond is not of this physical universe; hence, it cannot be measured in any way using physical means. Again, man is to blame for this, not God. 8. Of course; it should only further validate the existence of God. For we are all creatures of God and the the vastness of his creation is immeasurable. It would be arrogant to presume we are his only work. Anywho, I'm not a Christian, but thought I'd chip in.

This may sound unrelated, but I'll need you to follow my logic for a minute.
Let's talk about sex. If an adult were to walk up to you and ask,:" How do you have sex?" I would suspect that your answer would be very different from is a small child were to ask the same question. Please understand that the information that was handed down was for the intellect of the time.
Second, the Bible is incomplete. I wish I could remember the name, but there was a great conference that determined which books were to be part of the holy bible. Not all God related literature made it in. The bible would have been huge. So, it is possible that several facts that would have clarified things were omitted.
Third. " The World " consists of what they new of the land at the time. Their world flooded. not the whole world. These people didn't have Internet. So they couldn't tell if Japan was flooded. From their point of view, the world did flood.
Four. With that context in mind. Let's relate that to animals on the Ark. As you can see, the number of animals under Noah's care would be considerably smaller.
This is just a point of view, but I hope it was useful.
best wishes.
P.S. Given the number of different things that has been extinct, is it possible that a four-legged insect might have existed then, and became extinct now? Just a thought.

The complete omission of dinosaurs -- which were not to be discovered for almost 2 thousand years after the Old Testament was completed
UMM have you red Job? talks of dinos there. remember the name dinosaurs was made up in the 1800, just because the word is not in the bible does not mean the creature is not.
The entire earth was flooded by 15 cubits (22.5 feet) of water. This is only deep enough to flood low-lying areas
you have miss read the passage. the highest point was 15 cubits of water. and at the time the mountains had not risen up the way we see them today that happened during the flood.
THe snake had legs where does it say that.
Man I give up you don't do your studies. come back after you have read more than misinformation.

First off, the Bible was not written by God, or dictated by God. It was written by human beings, and reflects what human beings thought about God in various ages. I am a divinity student in a conservative Roman Catholic university, and even they agree with the human authorship of the Bible. The idea that it was dropped from heaven in its complete form (i.e. written by God) is unique to a small minority of Protestant Christians, most of whom live here in the United States.
The Bible was not meant to read literally. The only reason that any verse was included in the Bible is because it had a significant allegorical meaning. All ancient Jewish writings that were meant to read as literally narratives were intentionally excluded from the canon. The ancient and medieval Jews, as well as the ancient and medieval Christians always interpreted the Bible allegorically. Pick up any ancient or medieval commentary on Scripture and look at how the text is interpreted. Many ancient theologians actually taught that a literal reading of Scripture was tentamount to heresy.
Honestly, look for legitimate contradictions. Assuming that ancient man was incapable of counting the number of legs on an insect is far more unrealistic than assuming that the word "tetrapod" was a generic term for "creepy crawlies." The simplest answer is most likely. A lexicon will help you out on this one. The same holds true for bats, which are simply "winged things." I know its hard to believe, but ancient Hebrew had a much smaller vocabulary than English. They did not have a word for "bird." In Greek and Hebrew, they simply spoke of "things with wings" (in Greek, they just called them "winged"). The same goes for the 'flat earth.' When Scripture was written, the round earth was a given. It is more logical to give to authors the benefit of the doubt. If you read a modern newspaper talking about the four corners of the globe, you wouldn't give it a second thought. But we have a long-standing myth that people before Columbus thought that the earth was flat (a myth that has been soundly refuted).
Finally, you have to look at what the text actually says, and compare that with modern translations and assumptions. The Hebrew does not describe a world-wide flood. It describes a local flood that has been confirmed by archaelogists, and that was mentioned by contemporary sources outside of scripture. The idea that it covered the whole earth and wiped out the human race is nothing more than a modern assumption based on faulty translations. The same language (in Hebrew) that is used to describe the flood covering the 'earth' is also used to describe the destruction of Sodom (obviously a local event).
1. Advanced ages were a common myth of ancient Semitic peoples
2. The Bible (in Hebrew) says nothing of a world-wide flood destroying all of humanity
3. The authors of Scripture didn't know about dinosaurs, so how could they write about them?
4. You honestly think that the Hebrew says "insect" with exact same meaning as modern English? You have more faith than I do! They used "tetrapod" or "crawling thing" for all reptiles and insects.
5. The bat is a "winged thing." The King James translated it as "bird," not the Jews.
6. The Bible says nothing about snakes having feet. Read it again. The serpent in the garden was a Seraphim, or winged serpent. Ancient readers knew exactly what that meant. The winged serpent, or Seraphim, represented the primordial harmony between heaven (the wings) and earth (the serpent). A serpent without wings represented the disconnection between the heavenly and earthly orders. It was a common allegory, and found its way into the Old Testament as a reference to ancient wisdom literature, not as some kind of scientific statement about why snakes have no legs. But this is a good example of how people "read" something in the Bible that is not actually there. While Baptist preachers have been saying that the serpent in garden had legs for many decades, the Bible does not actually say that at all.
7. You've got to be kidding. People still talk about the "four corners" in reference to the four directions. It would be strange if the authors of Scripture did not believe in a round earth, considering the fact that ancient mathmeticians had already calculated its circumfrance centuries before the text was written. This is another misconception. Fundamentalists date the Bible to several centuries before it was actually written, leading to the assumption that the authors believed in a flat earth.
8. The authors had no idea that the earth moved. They actually describe the heavenly bodies as revolving around the earth. Let he who has never spoke of "sunrise" or "sunset" cast the first stone.
9. Disease, in the Bible, is rarely (if ever) attributed to demonic possession. The only exception that I can think of is a man who could not speak (mentioned in the New Testament). Another common misconception. Just because people in 17th century blamed disease on demonic possession does not mean that you can find it in the Bible.
10. See above on the flood. Not to mention the fact that the text describes the 15 cubits above the "highest hill."
11. See above. Again.

I think the 15 cubits may be ambiguous. It may mean 15 cubits higher than the highest mountain. At least this is what most fundies claimed. After all, Noah's Ark came to rest high on Mt. Ararat, which is something like 12,000 feet high. More recent fundies, realizing how embarrassing an amount of water this is, have claimed that the earth was very flat in those days. Well, sure, why not? They think they can make up any ad hoc explanation they want, without a shred of evidence, and actually convince anyone besides other fundies with it. You know, the ones who would give fatman 2021 thumbs up for his answer.
Venom, do you really *believe* all that nonsense you are spewing? Really? And always be sure to throw in a few "lol's" because derision always means truth. Look at your own fundie-buddies. They're the ones who are claiming the earth was flatter than now so that 15 cubits of water would cover it up.
And your "Er...locust? duh!" I suppose this means you are saying locusts have *four* legs, and "duh" to the guy who didn't know that? Are you capable of feeling embarrassment? Locusts have SIX legs, like all insects. And you're saying *he's* the one who makes atheists look like children who can't comprehend?
LOL!...LMAO!...ROTFLMAO! er....uh...uhhhh....yeah! Duh! Duh-weee! Snerk!! Pshaw!!! LOL. LOL. Aaack! Ugghh! DUHHHHH!!!!! (I did more of those than you, so I win!)
And "aintmyfault," how do you write a nearly 3300 word answer that is *entirely* wrong, incomprehensible, or irrelevant?

As for human population expanding: try starting with just the number 2. Multiply 2x2. Then double that number. Then double the next number, then double the next number. Be sure to use a mathematical calculator. The only question you will be asking is, with large families, why are there so few people on the planet!

Yes, as a matter of Fact, i Do.
The Age of Humanity is Of Humanity's Dominance, not its exclusive survival.
The Exxageration is Human, not Holy, Bible says only to reproduce, not extreme amounts!
Dinosaurs were Before Writings and Humans..... Duh! and Earth's Age as it currently is! Not Total...
Insects suffer Mutations too!
Lack of Proppper Education Makes the Groupings Incorrect of the bat.
Evolution shows signs of legs formerly existing (with leg stubs in skeletons!)
Again, Inadequate education to the world's shape, (and who knows? Maybe God Felt Like Changing it later)
Again, inadequate education, and God Might Have Changed Earth's Motion.
Diseases of the Soul!! Not the Mortal Body!
Who's to say it wasn't the Whole Known World and instead the whole world!
It was Two of each, not all, and Evolution Proves that they could have changed to current species due to adaptations! And Sewage is Disposable in the Water....

The Bible description is actually a reference to how these creatures walked and not their total number of legs. The rule is you can eat the flying ones that walked on fours even if they hopped with their other two legs. See Encyclopaedia Britannica under I page 402 Vol 12, 1962 for pictures of locusts, grasshoppers and praying mantis’s all standing on four legs and may flies.
TWO: Never forget the first rule of reading any literature - always assume the original author did not set out to contradict himself nor to make a fool of himself and so any misunderstanding is likely to be first at your end.
Secondly if you see in what appears to be a contradiction, you won’t be the first, and if nobody has changed the text in 3,000 - 4,000 years, it’s most likely because the contradiction is at your end, not in the author’s. And lastly, even if you continue to believe there is a contradiction, the only other conclusion at your end. Secondly if you see in what appears to be a contradiction, you won’t be the first, and if nobody has changed the text in 3,000 - 4,000 years, it’s most likely because the contradiction is at your end, not in the author’s. And lastly, even if you continue to believe there is a contradiction, the only other conclusion available to you is that Christians and Jews must have the utmost integrity since they have never altered the text to try and fudge it to please people such as yourself.
