one thing. When I ask questions here I've had some awesome answers from all religious beliefs. But there is one religion that has alway answered my questions without judgment, and with love. (not saying that the other religions haven't answered with love) But I've noticed that I have never had any negative comments from the Muslim community. Their answers are never of hate and have been very helpful in my spiritual journey. This is just an unbiased observation and I appreciate all the answers I've received from the non-hateful people from all religions on this site.
And no, I don't feel like I was trying to be converted. Because I am a former Christian and am now a Agnostic that will never go back to any religion.
My point, or question is. I'm really surprised (not knowing much about Muslims) how the Muslims have treated me on this site. Has anyonelse experienced this as well. Kudos to the Muslims. I have a new found apreciation to your believe.

The numbers of Muslims on Answers has never been high, and some of them have been quite "enthusiastic" in their evangelism for Islam, but I admit that they have not generally been extremely hateful.
On Answers, the most kindly I was treated by a theist who knew I was a gay man was by a Muslim who was able to say freely that the anti-gay rhetoric coming out of a lot of imams did not represent his form of Islam. This is not to say that some Christians have not also been kind, and some Muslims have been relatively cool (but civil).
I still, however, find that the sense of victimhood common among Middle Eastern Muslims is not helpful. It has led to the interpretation of Jihad as a holy war, and seen as such it is harmful to Eas-West relations.

I haven't had too much interaction with Muslims on this site, but the Muslims I have met in person have all been lovely. I lived in a dorm with a Muslim girl a few years ago, and we were pretty good friends. She was very nice. I also went to Egypt last summer, and I met and saw many Muslims, and I only had positive experiences. I remember I met a young girl, Mona, who was named after the Mona Lisa for her smile!
I try not to be mean-spirited in my answers, and I usually have resources to back up my answers as well. I try and answer questions from an academic standpoint more than an "I feel this" perspective. Since I am a Pagan, and there aren't too many of us, I also try to remain on best behavior so I am a good representative.

I have found the same. The Muslims have generally been polite and informative in their questions and answers despite some truly hateful posts directed at them. As a result I have developes domw friendships with Muslims without out religious differences mattering.

Morgan Spurlock (the guy who did "Supersize Me") had a series on FX called "30 days." In one episode, he took one of his buddies, a stereotypical Jesus freak from West Virginia, and made him live as a Muslim in Dearborn, MI (the area with the highest concentration of Muslims in the U.S.) for 30 days. This guy had to dress as a Muslim, live with a Muslim family, visit an Imam daily, pray 5 times a day... the whole works.
On his last day, this devout Christian went on a radio talk show (sporting a scruffy beard because he wasn't allowed to shave) to speak about his experience. He said that the world needed more people who were as honest, devout, and hard-working as the people that he met in the Muslim community.
One of my neighbors (I live in an apartment complex) is a Muslim family. They are some of the most delightful people I have ever met. The American image of Islam and Muslims demonstrates the type of gross ignorance that typifies why we Americans have a reputation for being stupid.

Your just trying to blow smoke and get a bunch of stars aren't you? Just kidding, the non-fundamentalist Muslims probably are nice, It's fundamentalist ones that fly airplanes into buildings and start a war over who Muhammad's successor should be or whatever.
Sorry but you can't deny that the Shia and Sunni are fighting over religious beliefs. I say this as an anti-religion comment not an anti-Muslim thing.

"Most" people of any group are inherently decent people.
Most Christians are decent people, most atheists, most Muslims, most whatever.
The reason Muslims have such a bad rap internationally is because radicals have managed to gain control of several countries.
If radical Christians managed to completely take over the United States, in about a decade Christians would have a similar bad rap, even though only a small minority would be undergoing radical legal action.

I am not offended in the least.I don't remember seeing you in this category before and since you have chosen to keep all of your questions and answers private.I am just expected to have to take your word for it that what you say is correct.Well, sorry,I need proof that what you say is correct. One reason I don't believe that there is a divine being is because there is no proof so why should it be any different for believing you?

I'm not Muslim but I understand your position. Most Muslims in the world are good people and it is painful to see the discrimination and cruel remarks directed toward them.
