Manna the food miraculously produced for the Israelites in the desert in the book of Exodus. Manna ceased to appear when the Israelites first harvested their crops in their new homeland.

But why wouldn't a loving god provide this magic superfood at other times? Why aren't starving children, who have never sinned, eating manna?

Isn't that cruel?

Sadly, I have seen real live Christian answers that say poor people have offended God.

Matthew 13:12 FTW, God hates poor people and won't feed them manna:

“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more
abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even
that he hath.”
(I realize Jesus was talking about knowledge of his parables, in order to fool people into going to hell....not cash).

Believers, seeking after God will never grow hungry.

Manna ceased as the Israelites entered into the Promised Land. From there, they were enabled to grow their own food.

Manna was provided for the Jews after being freed from slavery and that was only long enough to get them through the desert.which was forty years.

The purpose behind it was to teach them to labor for six days and on the seventh day, the Sabbath they were to rest and in it do no work, and that is why there was no manna out on Saturday.

Happy Sabbath by the way ...

Well, if we all lived on the Sinai Penninsula we would probably eat "manna" (lecanora esculenta).

Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Why don't you send them food Christians do.

True that.

Or perhaps Jared Diamond was right in "Guns, Germs, and Steel"?

Actually that's when they just started calling it falafel.

Darn tasty. And for them, it's pure profit. (Sssh, God still gives it to them for free!)
